Our new game: ArchRobo, Robotic Annihilation will be coming out soon. It's a top down, dual stick shooter... there are 2 main gameplay modes... it will be free the first weekend. 1) Campaign - 25 dungeons through which you maneuvre to the exit, destroy evil robots... multiple online awards/achievements... 2) Survival Mode - right now there are 11 levels... these will all have online leaderboards... Here's the trailer (done on the simulator so it was hard to play as I couldn't use both hands): There are puzzle and musical elements to the game also... The leaderboards and achievements are done through Agon Online: AGON Online by Aptocore ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ AGON Online is a leading social gaming platform for iPhone and iPod Touch games enabling: • Online leaderboards • Location aware scores • Awards system • Friends lists • Persistent player profile • Facebook and Twitter integration For more info on AGON Online please visit: http://agon-online.com
The game will be free for the first weekend. I will release it on a Friday. It will be free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday... We will set a price on Monday.
Looks as if it plays well Good maneuver making it free for introductory period. I'll be picking it up, and I'll give it a fair and well thought out review on iTunes. Best of luck and success, Richard
Well, the game hasn't been approved yet. I kind of wanted to set the release date for a Friday for a free weekend, but that's a bit of an inconvenient to plan. So rather than a free weekend, I'll have the game free on the date of release whenever that is, and then two full days afterwards... so if the game comes out on a Tuesday... it'll be free that Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...
honestly there are so many shooters like 'robotron' out there. i really think you could make an amazing game from what you have if you did it in 2.5D style. make all the graphics really up to date, everything 2.5D, keep the controls, and keep the gameplay.. that way it would be a new graphical take on the many games that are already there.. still looks good... even if you can't update to 2.5D, improve the graphics so its not just another game floating in the ether..
