    "We'll see"

Well said. No one NZ or otherwise has bought and commented on the game play. If it's good, I'm all in... but a review would seal the deal.

I'm guessing Blake is doing the TA review. If anyone knows his retro games it's him, so that's the review we need to look out for.

The Major Havoc pack is an instabuy for me (one of Atari's best!).
Thank gawd they included Yar's Revenge in that one also (a must!).

    Missing:
    - Raiders of the Lost Ark
    - E.T. (mentioned)
    - Adventure II (wtf!)
    - All Activision games

    Wow...way to go Atari!
Making it universal just sweetens it up that much more :)

I just hope controls are nice.
It's a very fair price and can't wait to try these out on the iPad2!

    Bring on the reviews...damn excited:D

I dl'ed the app from my Japanese acct. I only had about a buck worth of credit, so I tried to switch back to the US acct to buy the DLC, but no luck. All I can attest to is the UI (very good), the music (8 bitastic), and Pong. It was pong. Slider bars on either side to control the paddle. Needless to say, very preliminary info, but nothing I saw made me think it is going to be less than top notch. Of course, it all depends on controls and frame rates. Pong was fine, but that's hardly difficult. I'll be on this at 11 sharp. I'm going all in on the DLC as well. If someone told me when I was 12 that I could play 100 Atari 2600 games on my cell phone I would have flipped out. Well, first I would have asked what a cell phone was. Then, once I recovered, I would have fainted.

If you're playing on a device with retina you could tell us how sharp the paddles are ;)

That's strange. Blake said the image on the front page was an iPhone 4 shot and looking at it here it looks pretty optimized. Why would they ignore the icon?

Finally! I have been thinking for weeks about how there isn't good 2600 emulator anywhere for i-devices, so it's nice to see another company stepping it up.

    :DEmulators we have:

    Atari 2600
    Turbographx 16
    Commodore 64
    ZX Spectrum
    Various Arcade Games

    :(Emulators we need:

    Genesis
    Master System
    Game Gear
    Odyssey
    Various Arcade Games

Can anyone with this tell us if Pong supports two players on one device? My hope is that the answer is yes and that Warlords will support 4 players on one device, at least on the iPad. Of course I'd love that answer even more.

If you are my age (and you are likely at least close if you are interested in this)...

Then if someone told you that you could have all of this on a cell phone.

You would have said: "a cell what???" ")

8pm PST can't come soon enough.

Nice list. Amiga is coming, too. Nitpick: You forgot Intellivision in the "emulators we have" section. We also have about 9 Sega Genesis games already, too.

In the "emulators we need" section, you forgot Vectrex, which would be completely awesome on the iPhone.

As for "what's a cell phone," you could probably fit an Atari VCS into the 1983 model ...

I'd like an Atari Lynx emulator for Chip's Challenge. The real game, not the knockoffs that came later. But it sure as heck better not still use passwords! :)

I'm 39. That's why I said that I would gave asked what a cell phone was ;) I remember at the time I begged my way to a Defender cartridge for the 2600. If I remember right it was 40 bucks. And this was in the 80s. This is why I have no issues with paying 15 bucks for ONE HUNDRED Atari games. This is pretty exciting.
