I have waited years, hoping in vain they would add more levels to Neuroshima Hex Puzzle. FINALLY, a game that just might scratch that itch.

Why do the graphics look terribly low-res (iPad Air 2)?

And no landscape mode? Really? I have no words... Actually, I do have a word: inexcusable.

Graphically, same for me on the 6 plus. Great game though #

I don't know, the lack of a landscape mode has me seriously regretting this purchase. How do you have a game in development this long without understanding how people actually use devices? I should have clued in to the fact all the screenshots were portrait. I've never once asked for a refund, but thinking about it.

I could be wrong but I think the portait only mode was the way it was supposed to be. It adds a strategy level to the game where you don't know what is on the other side of the level...kinda like a "fog of war" if you will.

I can tell you that they have a simple turned portrait mode on the to-do list for the near future (source: reddit). A fully redesigned landscape UI might come later with a potential PC port.

That has nothing in particular to do with the portrait orientation. It could be done in landscape as well. The decision you're talking about is the one to only show a 3x3 tiles window of the level, and that was indeed a conscious choice. It was determined to be the optimal "information horizon" for this game. If you're interested in more in-depth game design thoughts on that topic, maybe look into this article by the game's designer. :)

Well, that's good, I guess. I'll consider buying it again when that happens. Right now, though, I'm rather disgusted. I'd been looking forward to this one.

Uh yeah, looking at the screen shots the orientation is pretty obvious.. A bunch of these roguelike games come in portrait mode which I have absolutely no problem with.. Hope you come back around and repurchase it ####

check out the gameplay for it :) sorry for the weird beginning but it is kinda blurry on iPad air 2. but it works perfect in portrait mode, on a iPhone that is.

Just so people know, the above video is the tutorial, not gameplay proper. The early tutorials are especially a bit on the boring side since they're teaching something super simple like movement. If you wanna watch some gameplay, I would watch some of LuditeSam's games, here: http://www.twitch.tv/luditesam/b/620405209

He has a few more good, long videos on his Past Broadcasts too.

At this point you're more likely to see a Lonnie video of the game than a Shaun review on TA
