Got the second build today. The third map is pretty big with a tight backround. Linart expects to release the game pretty soon so keep your eyes peeled
Hehe, we don't see you to much on sio2 forums these times, moved officially to unity? Just some news about the game. There's no more open feint in it, only game center, There's online multiplayer as well as local (using game center). Overview of map 3 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel This map map may change during the next days, since i'M not 100% satisfied with it ( still some glitch and lack of details, colors are a bit boring. ) If you guys want to show me some inspirational pics of what could fit in this environment you're more than welcome. Thanks! Ian
I felt like it was a bit bland at parts but the waterfall was great btw i think the link for the second beta through email was wrong. Whenever I downloaded it it said beta 1 and when I installed it it would be the same. I had to use the link from the blog
Totally dude, the limitations of the 1.4 and the idea of a paid version of sio2 creeps me out ........
Game looks very cool, question about the name though. Does "Airborne" mean the soldiers are from an Airborne Division (paratroopers) or is it because they can fly via jetpack?
The fly via jetpack and you can fight in the air. I a a beta-tester but dev. seems to have dissaperaed. We are on Beta 3
I don't think he disappeared, he's logged in here the past two days. He's probably just trying to complete the game, it's not uncommon for a developer to communicate less when he's pushing to get the game (or possible another beta) out.
Hmm its been a few weeks though, but that is a possibility since he says he was working on an online mode which takes time.
Yeah online play (even in its most basic form) can take a good while, especially for a one man team. Do you know if there are any slots still available in the beta?
Sorry I didn't saw the posts. Yeah Online took a while to do, but I'm done. I'm currently finishing retina display graphics. Making sure that the game supports every latest techs is a huge job. I should be done with the last beta this week. Time flies so fast. Sorry if it takes long! Ian
For those who are interested, we now have a facebook page where you'll be able to be up to date with the latest news! Linart's facebook page Thanks Ian
Hey Thanks a lot. The game features have changed a bit since the beginning of this thread so here's how it works now. The game is now free with in-app purchases instead of a paid/free model. The basic version is only single player agains't ai with only the first map: the cliff. You can buy the other maps for 99 cents if you wish. The online multiplayer is 99 cents either. There's no local multiplayer for now (performances issues via bluetooth, but this is only on hold, I really want it in an update). the game is available for 2nd gen and up but online multiplayer is only available for 3rd gen and up. (this isn't final either, I'm already working on a big update that will boost performances a lot, so maybe it's going to be available for everyone with it.) So that's it. Thanks! Ian, Linart director.
