I check the official BGEE forums for news but haven't seen this info.

Given the apple shutdown I'm assuming a worst case of early January release on the App Store.

I mentioned in last post this should be ready to purchase early January latest....BUT, is there any chance this will be rush approved and made available for this week? Thoughts ?

 

Avg approval time is about 5 days right now. I believe we will be good minus any bugs that come up

 

Anyone knows if this will have improved touchscreen controls like in the upcoming 1.2 Patch for BG:EE?

 

I've played BG1 on my PC and I currently have it on my iPad but I'm barely 3-4 hrs into the game.

Is BG2 better than BG1 or?

 

Does BG 2 have updated UI and/or tooltips? I tries 1 and found it too clunky to try and learn what did what.

 

Considering they're rushing to get this out before end of year I wouldn't be surprised if the BG1 enhancements don't make it into BG2....yet.

 

BG2 is better than BG1 but it is best to play the first one first as it is still an excellent game and you get get to carry over your character.

 

@TrentOster: Yesterday we found a critical save game bug. #BGEE and #BG2EE iPad have been fixed and resubmitted. This re-starts the Approval process

Hoping for next week release but not getting my hope too high :/

 

Well, at least they caught it before you sank 10 hours into a corrupted save file.

There are engine and interface enhancements that come with the 1.2 engine that both BG1 and BG2 will be using. So try BG1 again after the patch finally lands and see if the interface/learning curve is more to your liking. If it's still too rough for you, BG2 won't fix the problem.

 

This should e hitting AppStore as early as tomorrow! Hope others are starting to get excited for this...wouldn't be surprised if this turned Into my personal GOTY
