Trent Oster @TrentOster 29m I think I understand the issue. The main game is approved for sale, but the in-app purchases are still set in review. wth...
LOL, that's what I thought... it's already in the main file.. unless it's a whole another expansion that you can download now.. But still... I see plenty of games that IAP does not work.... so Release the file already....
A new app or update and non consumable IAP (or things that contain any code) are being reviewed as two separate things. That's my understanding after seeing other apps (not games) being released with the IAP part still locked behind the review bars. After the iTunes shutdown I should add. Usually it syncs up, so I'm just guessing it's because of a massive backlog of apps.
What I don't understand is that a stupid IAP needs to be approved first.. it's probably just for an extra Character or music or whatever.. The game itself is ready to go, so they should be able to release that one..
Well something is wrong and the game got denied approval or they have a green light and maybe waiting to release next week to get more publicity. I cant blame them if thats the case, maybe Apple would give them game of the week or something.
Nothing on twitter... so Hopefully Monday.. btw... Didn't the same thing happen last year with BG1 around the shutdown ? Can't believe that it's been a year already...
Our offices will be closed from now until January 6, during which time we will be drinking copious amounts of egg nog and recovering our energy in preparation for next year. 2014 is going to be a wild one. For those of you waiting on responses through support, I'll be spending the next couple of days catching up before I, too, take my leave for the holidays. That said, if you need assistance over the next week or so it may take a little bit longer for me to respond. Thank you all for your support over the last year; we'll see you in 2014! From everyone at Beamdog, Happy Holidays! It shall be merrier than you hoped! From baldurs gate forums might be why it's not being released yet and may not be for a cpl weeks.
But if you read further... if the IAP's are approved, then apple will release it. it's up to Apple now.. Unless they are rejecting the IAP, then it's not until the 2nd week of Jan.
Man this is weirdness I tell you lol! Plus I have to work tomorrow so no downloading it until after that if it comes out but hey at least I have Wednesday off!!!
At least they reviewed the game during the holiday freeze, some other games were not and are still in the queue. Dont know if they'll review IAP's this week, with the new year and all.
