the guys that make mortal kombat? interesting...

and I gotta defend Infinity Blade, it is one of the most innovative iOS games that makes good use of the touch screen, rather than trying to imitate a controller via on-screen control sticks and buttons. But, while I like IB, I hope Batman isn't like it. Batman is a franchise built around exploration, and it would be a shame for this not to include it. Also, Batman games always involve him taking on hordes of enemies. It wouldn't be the same if it were 1 on 1.

Bein something new still doesen't make your game better than others though. And devs like gameloft can half immitate a controller quite well. (half imitate because it isn't exactly the same.

On topic: I think that screenshot with the bossfight is sort of like a quick time event or something?

It is one on one, it's written on the first post. Seeing that's it's the unreal engine i'm 90% sure that this is an Infinity Blade like game but at least they'll be able to use assets from the console/pc versions as it's the same engine :)

Holy guacamole, Batman! Where did this come from? Not waiting for Xmas for this one. Big fan of Bats since wayyyyyyy back in the glory days when Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams brought him back from the silly side and made him what he is today.

This is great to hear, but I'm a little jaded by the UE3 since the last 2 big titles have had issues on my iPod Touch.

Looks great, can't wait to hear impressions.

Well, this sucks. Batman won't be available on most international App Stores if all Warner Bros. releases are anything to go by. :/ What a ****ing shame.

Well scribblenauts was available everywhere at the same time wasn't it? So it should be okay, at least I hope so!

The video will be cool but could someone who has the game just tell us what the gameplays like, is it like Infinity Blade ? Or is it free roaming, traditional way of attacking an enemy with 'buttons' instead of swipes etc.

    This looks really good.

What kind of game is it?

    Is it a fighting game?

I'm curious as to whether there's dialogue or not.

Of note the developers of the game is NetherRealm Studios in Chicago, the team behind Mortal Kombat. So my guess is a hybrid fighter similar in the way that Infinity Blade works.
