Well, after spending 20 hours yesterday to frantically finish, Battle Pong is completed! Hopefully apple will approve it for the grand opening It is simply a 2 player pong clone with a variety of weapons at your disposal. Future updates will include: - Tons of more weapons - A 4 player battle mode - Possibly a single player mode And unlike most of the initial games that are ports of iPhone games, this one is built from the ground up for the iPad! It is slated for a $2.99 USD price on release. If you have any weapon ideas I'd love to hear them over in the contest and give-aways section!
We are planning on bringing it to the iPhone after a few updates, yes. We just didn't feel the iPhone was well suited for the 2 player gameplay.
I hope so, it looks amazing! I won't be getting an iPad so I wouldn't be able to buy it, and that's why I asked. Games like Battle Blasters have 2 player on the same device, and sometimes it feels a little crunched, but for the most part it's fine. It wouldn't work out if you are having accelerometer controls!
man, i wish this would com to iPohne and iPod touch... i bet this is all a plan by apple to get us to buy iPads! /conspiracy theory
Hah, it will come to the iPhone in the near future. We just want to get a few updates out before we customize it for the iPhone's screen.
Your wish is my command. Here's the post: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=877838&highlight=iPad+pricing#post877838 Hope you find it interesting!
Interesting. While I didn't see your suggestions when I priced the game, I certainly agree with your analysis. I have big plans for this app, though, and as the updates expand it, the price may go up in the future. Time will tell, I suppose!
Battle pong can now be viewed in the app store here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battle-pong/id364910612?mt=8 Note: I was searching but couldn't find what the tags were to show the app store preview on my thread?
