apple ][ for the people? No, and I've been trying HARD... the Apple ][ was the main reason I've been interested in this emulator (not really interested in the GS part). Has anyone managed it? Being able to play "A.E." on the go would be super ultra nice!!
Apple II work just fine, just change the format type in the XML. Code: <config version="2" id="falcons">
<year>1983</year> <publisher>Unknown</publisher> <desc> Description</desc> <pic type="thumbnail" width="64" height="40">floby3.png</pic> <format>APPLE2</format>
<bootslot>6</bootslot> </config> <config version="2" id="dos33">
<year>1983</year> <publisher>Apple</publisher> <desc> Description</desc> <pic type="thumbnail" width="64" height="40">floby3.png</pic> <format>APPLE2</format>
<bootslot>6</bootslot> </config> Enjoy
Hmm I did change that but got only "please wait" screen on couple of disk images I tried. I will try again later probably with another images. Thank you!
You cannot simply rename the .bin files to .dsk I searched around until I found Oregon Trail in dsk format and it works fine.
If your looking for images, go here: http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/images/ Millions of em. --- I figured out what might be wrong with Wizardry, the first disk has to be write protected and I don't see a way to do that on the iPhone or in iPhone Explorer.
4.3 release Just wanted to remind u guys to back up shsh blobs before this friday when 4.3 comes out!
No, they are dsk files downloaded from http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/images/ But still only very few images worked like dos 3.3 but not many other I tried. I wonder if it has anything to do with iOS 4.3 which i use on my iPad.
Ok well some good and bad news. Bad news the update deletes SYSTEM6.2MG, so we have to find that again... didn't back mine up. Good news Wizardry boots now! However since we still cannot swap disks on the fly, we cannot switch to a Scenario Disk (you need to put the scenario master into Drive 1 before starting the game). Has anyone found a "method" to swap disk on the fly? Thanks Tim
Time to revive this thread... Now that a Wizardry titled game has appeared (though in jrpg style instead of normal wizardry), maybe interest will be rekindled in getting things running again on this emulator. Has anyone managed to find a way to swap disks or found a forum that the devs actually hang out on?
Ok I'm a dumb ass... turns out we could swap disks all the time, but you have to keep the disks in the SAME drive. So the following works just perfect: <config version="2" id="wizardry">
<format>APPLE2</format>

<bootslot>6</bootslot> </config> Notice that BOTH disks are in disk 1. When you need to swap disks, just pull down the top menu and tap the "spinning disk" icon on the top right or even easier, just tap where the spinning disk would appear. It will then automatically cycle to the next disk (and tell you). Then you can press enter in Wizardry and voila! I also learned that you should put Read/Write images in the ../Documents folder, hence why my Scenario master is there. Note that the images I have must be cracked for Wizardry as I am able to use the Player Scenario as the Master Scenario, I simply hit Return twice. Time to go import my old characters using ADTPro and enjoy Wizardry on the iPad! P.S. The bluetooth keyboard works just great! Thanks, If you want, I can send you my system 6 if it is leagal? thanks for telling me how to boot many disks, Now GEOS for Apple 2 works!
