Today's commentary/recommendation: Fallen Sword Mobile Beta
Today, we're checking out the Fallen Sword Android beta build for the first time. The mobile version of Fallen Sword is still very bare-bone, but more features will be added throughout the beta, according to the developers. Much of the art is also still just place-holder.
Look at this video as more of a sneak-peak of what Fallen Sword on Android and iOS can eventually become.

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Symmetrica
For Indie Tuesday this week, I'm checking out Symmetrica. Symmetrica is a delightfully simplistic indie puzzle game with a bunch of interesting levels and a quite fair monetization model (you can pay to disable ads). I definitely enjoyed playing the game, and I'm keeping it installed as there are few puzzle games out there that are truly just relaxing to play. What do you think about the game?

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Crash of Cars
Crash of Cars is a multiplayer pvp racing game in the vein of slither.io, agar.io and other ".io" games. The game has been made by the Earn to Die developers Not Doppler and is super polished. As for the monetization of Crash of Cars, it is very light and elegant with no obtrusive ads or pay2win elements.
Definitely recommending this game, and even considering doing a series of Crash of Cars gameplay videos, if you enjoyed this one? Let me know what you think :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: King Tongue
For this Throwback Thursday, we're revisiting King Tongue, which was released back in 2015, to see if the game holds up to the 2017 standards for mobile games.
The verdict is that King Tongue is still a great game, although it has a few obtrusive ads on Android (the iOS version of the game is paid, so it has no ads). This just makes the game all the more perfect for those times where you can't be online, though, as the game functions just fine in offline mode, where you naturally won't see any ads :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Buff Knight Advanced
Buff Knight Advanced is a retro 8-bit styled 2D RPG with certain idle-clicker elements (such as a "restart" mechanic, that allows you to gain additional strength by starting the game all over again). There's a free and paid version of the game, and in the free version, there's a few obtrusive ads that might frustrate some players. In both version, however, the developer has also added incentivized ads, which reward generously - so if you don't mind watching an ad now and then, you can progress much more quicker in Buff Knight.

I recommend you check out Buff Knight Advanced if you're into RPG games, but don't want long play sessions on your phone, as this game is perfect for shorter play sessions.

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Pocket Squadron
Have you ever wanted to fly a WW1 plane in a 2D dogfighting match? Well, now you can! In Pocket Squadron, your goal is to finish all 20 levels of WW1 dogfights, and continue on to battle it out in the three other play-modes that this game offers. Definitely recommending this game if you like the WW1 style. See the rest in the video :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Guns of Mercy
Love oldschool arcade'ish shooters? Boy, oh boy, you're in for a treat! Guns of Mercy is a punishing retro shooter that I just immediately fell in love with. The monetization is perfect (no obtrusive ads at all), and I'm honestly having a hard time finding a whole lot of bad things to say about this game. But watch the video and judge for yourself - do you agree or disagree on my verdict?

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Castle Revenge
In this Castle Revenge gameplay you'll see why the game is a bit of an odd mix between the strategic elements of Boom Beach or Clash of Clans, and the physic-based puzzles of Angry Birds. Yep, sounds strange - but works surprisingly well.

But how about the monetization in Castle Revenge? Well, take a look as we dive into what this game has got to offer :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Tower Keepers
In this Tower Keepers gameplay review, we take a quick look at the game's core mechanics, art style, and maybe most importantly; monetization.

Overall, Tower Keepers is super polished - but how does it hold up in a world of endless heroic strategy RPGs? Let's find out!

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Fallen Princess
This Fallen Princess gameplay covers both monetization, art style, and core gameplay mechanics in less than 8 minutes. Ready. Set. Go! ;)

Fallen Princess has a surprising amount of depth in its core gameplay, and the story is fun and lighthearted. But do be warned; it's a long grind to the top of the pvp boards!

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Knight's Tour
Do you like puzzles? Do you like Chess? Boy, oh boy, are you in luck! Knight's Tour is a puzzle game about moving the knight (yep, the horsie) from the game of Chess around over 100 maps, avoiding enemies, collecting all the gold, and avoiding death by spikes that mercilessly appear from the ground.

Knight's Tour has a few too many obtrusive non-incentivized ads, but features a rich meta-game with lots of rewarding achievements to unlock, new characters to play with, and even a hidden Tic-Tac-Toe game.

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Space Garbage Collector
In this Space Garbage Collector gameplay we talk about both the core gameplay and monetization as we try to work out whether or not Space Garbage Collector is worth checking out.

I don't want to spoil the full commentary, but I can already now say, that this game is a must-try if you're a fan of space / sci-fi games!

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Immortal Wukong
Immortal Wukong is a fun but super challenging action platformer perfect for 5-10 minutes play sessions. The game is rather simple with only one play-mode, but enough levels to keep you entertained for hours on end.

Check out the game and my full commentary in the video.

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Tiny Gladiators
Tiny Gladiators is an action-packed RPG fighting game with both a singleplayer campaign and multiplayer 1 vs 1 online battles.

As you'll see in the Tiny Gladiators gameplay commentary, the game is rather challenging right from the start, which gives a great sense of success once you succeed in taking down the enemy. The game's got plenty of skills, powerful gear and much more to unlock - so be ready for a looong grind :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: MouseBot
MouseBot is an exciting new mouse racing game (yes, you read that right) from the makers of Riptide GP and Beach Buggy Blitz. Although a free game, I was shown no forced ads in my time with the game, which is always a great sign.

The core gameplay is solid, and the unlockables (skins, hats etc.) are exciting enough to keep me playing. But what do you think about the game - let me know after watching the video :)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Fury Turn
Fury Turn is a strategy-based shooter with a slick art style and addictive core gmaeplay mechanics, focusing on adding puzzle elements to the strategy shooter genre.

The monetization is mostly unobtrusive, and the control scheme can be customized to your own liking from the settings. A really neat game overall.

In this Pocket Rogues gameplay commentary, I cover everything from the monetization to the core gameplay mechanics and art style of this lovely roguelike rpg in the hopes that it'll give you folk a good impression of whether or not Pocket Rogues is just the game for you.

Personally, I absolutely loved playing the game because of its difficulty and intense gameplay.

Today's commentary/recommendation: Transformers: Forged to FIght
Transformers: Forged to Fight is a game that really positively surprised me. I initially thought it'd be a crappy game based on the popular Transformers franchise, but the game is actually a really entertaining action fighting game.

The audio is great, the game is polished, and you know... fighting with big transformer Mechs makes you feel awesome - does it get any better? ;)

    Today's commentary/recommendation: Standoff 2
Standoff 2 is a brand new first person shooter (FPS) for mobile that is currently being alpha tested. So far, the controls aren't amazing, but being the optimist I am, I'm hoping that this is something the developers will improve upon in the coming months.

The core of the game plays really well, though, and the matchmaking is really good already. Thumbs up for getting networking working rather well on mobile!
