Thanks, that's great to know. Interesting they chose 1.5 but not black label? I myself don't know much as well but keep hearing that black label is the latest version so I guess it's better?
So in the previous version, before the update came out, we've always been playing with the slowdown 'on'? Damn, it's like realising what I always consider hard was actually nerfed!!
Haha..I think the old version was the full speed mode. I just tried one run and there's some slow down now.
Played the lite of Bug Princess after the update with the slowdown toggle. Not sure about the full version, but it almost felt like to me that they got the toggle backwards. With it enabled, it seemed faster and more difficult. But without it enabled, then it seemed a bit slower.
Hm..I didn't spend a lot of time with Bug Princess 1 even before the patch..but I remember it was pretty fast to me. Especially on the later levels at harder difficulties, I'll sometimes die pretty much over and over in a few seconds..cause I can't react fast enough. ;P lol.. After the updated, with the slowdown mode, it seems to be more playable for my preference, and I can do better..but thats just me. Yeah, with the new slowdown option update to BP1..I guess its a toss up for people new to bullet hell which to pick up. Then I'd say pick the theme you like, or pick the ones thats happened to be on sale? The main thing I'm wondering is if DDPBD has the slowdown mode as well...
For newcomers who can't decide which one to get, I reckon they should just try all the lites available. That's what I did and out of all Cave games, Bug Panic lite was the only one I love, until I tried Bug Princess. I tried to like Deathsmiles, Espgaluda and Dodonpachi R but I can't. I bought BP2 as soon as it came out, but must say the music and sfx aren't as epic as the first one (maybe just personal preference), but still I love the theme. Interestingly, even though I can't enjoy DDPR, I love DDP BD when trying the lite, so if you just want to quickly pick one up, as tops2 said: Choose the theme or those on sale. If you can be bothered, try all the lite, as each game is different (theme, gameplay, scoring, game modes, etc.
I'm interested to get ESPII and DDPR but I wanna get the HD version so it's future proof (I'm upgrading to iPhone 5 when it comes out). If only it had iCloud or any method to transfer my progress then I wouldn't mind double-dipping.
It has GC, which tracks all your achievements + hiscrores. BTW, another vote for the two HD versions. They're much-much better than the traditional (2D sprite-based) ones.
Is $6.99 the sale price? That's what appshopper says. Ok, that seems to be the sale price. I misread the sale price on page 1. Why the heck is the price above the title; is it a European thing?
I believe £ is the uk pound € is the euro (not listed on the original post) You can also check Cave's home page for official sale price for the US.
So, if I buy the non-HD version now, can I transfer all my achievements and hiscores to the HD version? I'm pretty sure it can only be transferred between the same apps on different device, not between different apps.
