Full of bat droppings too =/ .Makes me wonder how he keeps his car clean. I have fond memories of playing bug panic on my friend's 3gs ...during lectures. So in anticipation for the price drop, I went to download the lite version and played it at 2x on my ipad. It looked pretty good at x2 resolution but I had to really stretch my thumbs to get to the controls and it got tiring and annoying after a while. So I guess I will won't be getting it later!
Yeah apparently it is. Bug panic is going for NZ $1.29 while deathsmiles is going for $9.99. No change in price for the HD version of Espgaluda II though.
Espgaluda II HD looks good on iPad. Try the lite version, you'll see. Really wish Bug Princess had a lite version to see how the smaller screen gameplay and visuals work.
Yeah..I wonder what the 5th game thats going to be on sale.. Don't know if its Bug Princess though.. I used to (and sometimes still) wonder about this..but strivemind's post pretty much sums up the different versions. There's really no "best" version..kinda like coke vs pepsi to me... If you're not into all the scoring nuances, maybe Bug Princess, Espgaluda and Dodonpachi may feel pretty similar aside from theme? Get Bug Princess, Espgaluda or Dodonpachi for vertical bullet hell. Get Deathsmiles if you want side scrolling bullet hell. Get Bug Panic if you want DSS-like. Try the lite versions of each one out..but the ESP or DDPR's lite versions are pretty underwhelming to me... Yeah..the borders are nice to have as an area where you can still control your ship and not block your ship & bullets. For me, the hardest places for me to control is toward the bottom of the screen and both side edges of the screen. By having the border on those 3 sides..it makes it easier for me to control. You can adjust the screen to "largest" so you can see everything easier..but you lose the side borders. You can adjust the screen to "smallest" to get the largest border to more easily control your ship..but then the playing field is really small to me. =D Hope you enjoy it. Try out Deathsmiles lite version if you're interested in side scrolling bullet hell. To, Deathsmiles feels less of bullet hell (in terms of bullet patterns), but its still frantic. Plus..I love the Deathsmiles music. =D
Games on SALE: DEATHSMILES $6.99 Dodonpachi Resurrection $5.99 ESPGALUDA II $5.99 ESPGALUDA II HD $10.99 Mushihimesama BUG PANIC 99c Bug Princess $4.99
Bug Panic for 69p is not even a decision. Gonna get Dodonpachi as well once the stupid item being modified message goes away XD
Hmm... would it be worth it getting the complete version of Espgaluda II, seeing as I got one of those mini versions? I think I'm going to buy Dodonpachi.
Bug Princess is actually not on sale, according to twitter. $4.99 is the regular price. Every one of these games is worth the full price. Snap these up while they're on sale! Oh, and if you can't buy them all and are not sure which to get, there is no right or wrong answer. Try the lite versions and see which one appeals to you. My personal favorite is certainly Dodonpachi Resurrection, but I absolutely love each of these games and wouldn't want to be without them.
