iPad CHAOS RINGS - (by SQUARE ENIX) [v1.1]

I haven't had a chance to read thru all the posts, but I was curious what the overall impression on this game is. Is it as good as Chaos Rings? Is the length similar?

 

The max level is 255 and even using slug genes to try and get all the genes, I still don't have them all. So far I haven't finished devil,dolphin,celestial, or monkey genes.

 

I just can get level 100 in normal mode.

 

I was talking about the extra mode. I also finally got all the genes.

 

Guys, I noticed the framerates are not smooth during the battle in a snowy place found in the video below... does that part run smooth on actual idevice?

I could have gained more levels if I had found a pink guy for her at level 1, but I didn't feel like retrying that many times =P



This boss is in the secret area in the extra mode and after you kill it, it will appear at random for you as a regular mob (It gives TONS of experience so make sure to have xp up items ready). I was still gaining 4+ levels in the 200s for vahti when I would find him.

 

It all runs smooth except for very specific monsters in very specific fights using specific attacks I can recreate some slowdown, but otherwise it runs like butter on my iphone 4.

Is anyone finding this more challenging than the first chaos rings? I'm hoping it is....

 

Dunno about that, but I do like the story better because there are more twists and drama in it than the original.

 

Both games are VERY easy...even the final secret bosses. If you ever have any trouble just grinding out 5-10 levels makes it a complete breeze. After beating the boss with the first couple in the first chaos rings I specifically underleveled my characters so that the game would at least require me to try other than just mash pair attack until it died.

But I wonder what happened with Ayuta's story(he was supposed to be REALLY bad from the story in CR),really liked Yorath and Cyllis's twists.
The hardest part was when you had to face them both with just Vieg.
And the Dante/Yorath battle was EPICEnd boss is amazing too!

So whats the thing about the extra mode?Should I complete it?

 

Yes, I get 100% Achievements in scenario Extra! And 32 achievements in Game Center unlocked!

 

Is it difficult finding that pink dude? I think I've been running around in the secret area for about an hour total and never came across that enemy. Is there something specific that needs to be done or is it random?

 

It is random. Found him a few times ust by clicking the Battle button.

But I have one last Piu-Piu card with 4 pieces missing. I opened all 12 golden treasure chests and defeated all 25 bosses. Where am I supposed to find these last 4 and where do I find the weapons, armor, and jewels to get 100% for "Collection Completed"?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got the last card.
But now i have this "Tonic: Viper Vitality" and I have no clue what it does. Ohm gave it to me and the description says: "Mama. Dada. Ohm wants a little brother or sister."

I have the the option to use it on either Olgar or Vahti during a battle, and Piu-Piu also asks me to give it to him and says that he might grow back to his original size if he drinks it when I talk to him. Not sure what to do with it...

 

An update is out now.

 

Are there any new interesting story elements or hidden unlockables if you beat the extra mode? Just wondering if it's worth sinking more time into or if it's just a completionist thing.

 

You will gain best weapons in the game and all the missing skills.
You also have great bosses and best armors.

 

The new content is retardedly easy and boring...just a scavenger hunt. I one hit the new bosses. Make it hard ffs.
