This game looks very good but i have a couple of suggestions: Please let the gun have muzzle flash. He is firing a chaingun and not groundnut-shooting gun. (Check Alive 4 Ever Returns for reference) Secondly, let their be hit detection so that one can feel that he is actually hitting something. (check A4E Returns too) Lastly, the way the bugs just disappear isn't appealing at all. Let the bugs be there for a couple of seconds before disappearing, that way, one would have a feeling that he actually killed something not that he shot at a gas tank. These little things make big differences and can put a game on it's own league.
@Freeway82: Thanks for the suggestions. Very helpful! Hopefully these are things we can make sure are feeling good on release. There is muzzle flash on the gun, unfortunately the light bleeding from the non-direct feed video makes it difficult to see. However, we plan on doing an official trailer soon that should look better. @Wired360: The game has upgrades that happen and reset per wave based on points, but progressing through the game will also reward you with unlockables to help you get through the rest of the missions (beefier suit, combat vehicle). Also scattered throughout the levels are hidden DATA navigation chips from a crashed spacecraft that when collected will unlock a new location and game mode to play in (we'll post more on that soon!). Then of course we'll have achievements and online rankings. @iVaro: The game follows a rookie member of a space exploration team. He's sent out to obtain minerals and other useful data so that they can learn more about the life-abundant Omega solar system. The comics follow a sperate team of "grunts" that are risky by nature, but always get the job done. Their strong, joking personalities always get them in trouble with "Corporate", the privately owned space exploring entity. They were sent out on a similar mission as the Rookie and one of the planets you play is in the comic as well. Sorry for the long post, but hope it helps give a clearer picture!
Thanks! The anticipation continues to build! If there is any need for help... questions/thoughts/ideas/beta-testing please feel free to pm me!
