Hi guys. Sorry for the prolonged silence. I was hoping to spend more time on this forum, but eventually became too busy with the development. Right now we are nearing the beta stage. The engine, gameplay framework and GUI are almost complete. But there are still tons of different improvements and a lot of polish ahead (like finishing the Main Menu, Credits Screen and so on). Now for the good part! I confirm that there will be 9 unique vehicles in-game. First 3 of those will be available at the very beginning, the next 3 will be unlocked in the game progress, and the final 3 will be available via in-app purchase anytime. The rationale behind this is to keep the game price viably low, and yet to provide the opportunity for diehard fans to enjoy the game even more with some bonuses. A few words about the gameplay. There are three game modes: Combat race - use your driving skills and lots of weapons to get first to the finish Knockout - similar to the combat race but on each new lap the last racer gets knocked out from the game Boss - you get only one, but really strong opponent Of course we have many more interesting ideas on game modes and hope to implement them in future updates if the game gets a decent following. Weve been trying to avoid the generic easy/hard mode selection. Instead, each level has additional tasks like achieving the specified number of kills, score, accuracy points, etc. Those tasks vary from being easy to super hard. So if youre looking for an additional challenge youll have it.
Thanks for the info. I like the idea of the different tasks to accomplish. How much longer do you estimate it will take until submission? What different control schemes do you have? Is this intended to play arcadey like Death Rally/ Mini Moto Racing or is it simulation style like Reckless Racing. Be warned that at launch Death Rally got low reviews from a few silly people who liked Reckless Racing's controls for example, so you might want to look into adding more than one type at launch.
Hi! Currently the game undergoes heavy testing, we want to make sure it is as bug-free as possible. The game must pass QA procedure on our side, and then at Chillingos as well. The game will be available on the App Store approximately by the end of June - at the beginning of the July. More details will be available nearing the release.
The combat looks very unique and screen shots look good too. From what I see it looks to be a really nice game and a future purchase for me.
The game has been submitted to Apple for approval. Right now we are working on promo materials. Project details and the release date are to be announced really soon
