I watched the preview trailer for the app, and if I can have a UFO in my videos I'm all good without any other cameras or software, that is until I have to do a HUGE project... Can't wait until January!!!
@Foozelz, we don't have a date set yet, we are shooting for a January 2012 release, so probably about 2 weeks before release as we are doing a lot of advance bug testing with a large team. However we do hope you will actively report bugs, as we have a dedicated team working 24.7 to fix any issues that may pop up! The app, even in early beta, is pretty darn rock solid though!
I designed all the effects (on paper) before we hired various studios to produce them, so I am partial to a lot of them. That being said, as a huge nerd I really like: The T-Rex: It looks really cool and lifelike, and has a lot of cool animations. The UFO: It is very "Independence Day" in its style / animations, but its super cool! The Attack Helicopter: When you have it fly above your head in a scene it feels very "Apocalypse now;" The Loch Ness Monster: It looks incredibly realistic, and is actually quite scary!

So when are you guys sending out the beta? Also, what could we expect from Friendly Music? Will there sound effects provided by them or just music? Sorry for all the questions! Haha I'm just excited!
Beta will be soon, probably after CES as we have some big updates we are rolling out then. Stay tuned for more info! Friendly music allows you to license a song for your video. It has a library of around half a million tracks, including a lot of instrumental pieces that are perfect to score a movie with. If you don't want to use Friendly Music, you can choose any song in your iTunes library. Sound effects are already attached to the visual effects, there is no separate track for additional sound effects at the moment. Hope I answered all your questions! Stay tuned! More to come soon!
