I'm getting a static image advertising Sonic Boom on the title screen too, the old version used to show adverts on the title screen as well but they stopped displaying anything ages ago. Other changes I noticed with this update: -64-bit support (hooray, it will keep working when Apple dump 32-bit support) -Now supports the iPhone Plus screen resolution and looks much sharper -New Sega logo at boot, the Sega logo starts off hi-res and then transforms into the old animated one you'd see when booting up Megadrive games. I really hope this means Jet Set Radio is going to be fixed!
The game doesn't work on my ipad pro. I have a pop up menu asking me to connect to the internet to continue. Hey SEGA, what's going on?
I think they are wanting you to sign in so it will check to see if you previously had the game in order to unlock the premium version
I nearly mentioned MFi then thought it might look like I'd ignored your post! One downer on the MFi support is there's no on-screen guide about which gear you're in like on the Dreamcast. It's not a huge thing but occasionally I'll screw up a gear change when doing a Crazy Boost and it would help to see when I've not changed gear.
This is correct. I didn't sign in and got ads on the main menu. Once I signed in the ads disappeared. Sega ads are still intact though.
When I set my phone to airplane mode and fired the app that sonic boom ad didn't display for me, so take from that what you will. When you're online that pop-up will display one time for sure if you kill the app.
Wait, it starts for you in airplane mode? Just gives me a pop-up saying there's no connection and goes no farther.
Yes the app works fine without internet after I input my itunes credentials (one time). I'm running iOS 8. Did you restore your purchase... Theres a prompt at the start of the app when you first lauch it... dismissing this will not restore your previous purchase... Anyhow, they just rolled out an update to address the purchase issue.
Does it still boot after you force close the game and restart it while in airplane mode? It's not working for me
Meh, it doesnt work offline anymore if you have updated to the recent version. I mean it worked fine with yesterdays update. In any case, you can still play it offline so long you dont kill the app.
Based on the 6/1/17 update to the article, looks like this game is gaming gold now....how is this not in the hot apps list like Sonic and Phantasy Star? Buying the IAP, going to enjoy this on my plane trip tomorrow. Thank you Sega! Now let's get some Streets of Rage 2 and 3 and Revenge of Shinobi and I'll be 12 again # To confirm, the game works just fine in airplane mode! Can't access GC but that's to be expected. Paid for the IAP and thank you Sega, once again I am enamored by the company that brought me all my childhood games (sorry Nintendo, been a Sega guy from day 1)....talk about coming around full circle!
