Crystal War is one of the best games of this genre for the iphone. Just wish this didnt use the exact same units and unit art. Sure it looks a little different/better, but the same units and art? Other problems with the original game were lack of unit statistics, which was actually a huge problem because you had no idea which units to unlock & upgrade at first, and it costs a lot of money to experiment. Also, particularly on the goblin side, lack of a well developed rock/paper/scissors structure to the units. Dont have time to beta, but anyone that never played the original and likes this genre would have fun.
Just guessing, but I bet "online" means you can play the units of another player controlled by the AI. If that is all it is = epic lame. I'm sure this will be a good game because they are building on a good original version, but online could well be lame.
AppsAsia, is this going to be an expansion to the original Crystal Defender or a new game? If expansion, I'm assuming the focus is the new multiplayer, but if it's a new game, what, if anything, will change about the single player campaign? New campaign? Or just tweaks? Or nothing? As someone else pointed out, there were no unit stats and the goblin side was not tuned well in the original - would be really nice to get those fixed. I loved playing that game - stopped after I finished it, but I'd play it again if the multiplayer is good and the game got updates to fix the existing issues.

Do you mean Crystal War (not defender)? It's an expansion that includes some new features that were added to the single and other modes but the biggest new feature is the online mode...WHICH IS SWEEEEEEEEET!!
