Yeah, orchids and the girl too if you like. The arcade stick is Wwaaaaaayyyy better than a dpad. It is like an old arcade stick. Dpads are only better maybe if they are dual analog like for FPS and dual stick shooters. For games like this, a true arcade stick feels so good in your hands. I got thr gameloft duo gamer which is almost identical to an xbox controller for games like wild blood and nova 3, but the arcade stick is much funner. But the gameloft joystick does control better.
What I am refereing to is the 'micro tap' (yes, I am probably inventing that phrase) which is the ability to tap quickly using your thumb with a D-Pad. For example, I feel most comfortable playing Street Fighter on a D-Pad because I can tap quickly and I have the best control. I have less control over those micro movements with a control stick and even less so with virtual controls.

Quick question. I enjoy these types of games but can only really excel playing the easy stage. I'm trying to level up my shop and so far have two points in focus and one in wide but when I die now its says I'm ACE and can no longer level up any being max level. Is this a function of playing easy all the time? Do I have to now advance to normal? Also I usually only play arcade "burst". I want to level up more.
@Foxbat - may have happened upon a bug: * Was at Colonel level and it said ~5,000/1,000,000,000pts * Next game I'm Ace level with an empty bar, but it says it's maxed * I have a total of 9 upgrade points invested in my ship * I don't gain points any more through repeated play Not sure how to repro it. This!!!! I had this happen to me... Is there a fix other than deleting and reinstall?
Ace is the maximum attainable rank currently, with 1400 points to spend to spec out your plane, so no need to re-install it is just a visual bug on the result screen when you rank up from Colonel to Ace. (it'll be fixed in the next patch)
The colors on hdmi tv of Storm Strikers 2 (same developer) is just wonderful. Was playing it today, and it was great with my icade core joystick!

I like being funnerest! I think I got SV kinda excited by my comments about Storm Strikers 2, let us all hope. Ok, guess I should stick to talking about Danmaku 2, much safer with this crowd.
