Hopefully about 6 weeks after the beginning of the final phase of the beta (which should start soon), which would mean around mid-November. The build will be heavy though, around 60 megs, since we have a lot of original musics and HD images. Hopefully this won't disturb too much people usually downloading through a satellite connexion.
Looking good. You wouldn't possibly be needing beta testers, would you? 60 mb sounds fine to me. But then again, I don't have 3G so i guess it could be a lot...
The actual beta phase is not exactly closed, but we're not actively promoting it either. Right now we have 4-6 people, and would like to upgrade to 20-25 once we have the retina, ipad universal and boss fights working properly. If you're set up with testflight and would like to help out already, you're welcomed to pm me
Yeah things do get hairy on late stages or after a few mins on endless . One important thing to mention though is that we're working hard to make sure that the game stay fair, so if you sometimes get the impression that the game is cheating you and that you're dying for reason out of your control, please tell us about it!
And several people mentionned that so far . That's indeed one of the games we looked into at the early stage of the project, as we were defining the skills tree.
All right! A new beta build featuring retina display is finally ready to roll! We're just waiting for one of our testers UDID to submit it on testfight. -looking in the general direction of Dazzlemi- Oh, and the first boss is functional too .
A lot of work to add something special to the game, but the bosses are coming along little by little . Hopefully you'll enjoy them!
In a recent polish sweep, we revisited most HUD elements and all powerups items , here's a screenshot:
We're now racing toward the end, we have to submit the game in 3 weeks or so. Bosses are now completed at 70%, they should be pushed in a new beta build soon. I'll try to make a boss preview video as soon as they're completed . Yay! Boss fights are now completed! We might be able to show a preview video tomorrow. A new beta build should also be ready tomorrow. We'll soon announce more widely the final stage of the beta and look for more beta testers .
This game is so epic.... Personally, I like it better than Jetpack Joyride. And that's saying a lot...
Thanks! At least we're working hard to be a worthy competitor I like jetpack joyride a lot myself. I think that in the end, both games will provide awesome but different experiences since they don't put the emphasis on the same things.
Just a quick update, the game was registered as one of the 568 participants for the 14th Independent Game Festival This is a record year with a lot of nice entries in the mobile category. The finalists should be announced in January. Also, things are actually gearing up for a release on November 30th or December 1st .
