Dragon Island: Monster Naming Contest!

To show how monsters change as they grow stronger, here is the monster that the previously shown croc man comes from.


And again here are the next 3 guys who need names(not part of the gift card contest). These evolve from 1 to the next . What should they be called? Avoid proper names as these aren't like the Dragon Overlord. You could have 10 of these in your group if you were so inclined.

Also, what order do you feel looks right, from weakest to strongest?

 

They do change names on each evolution. Funny enough we already have a dream eater monster

 

Here is a sample of what visiting a section of the overworld looks like. There is a bit of unfinished stuff here but you can still admire the art The flags represent places that have been unlocked that you can travel to and fight\explore etc. The world map was originally drawn at something around 17000x13000 resolution. We have scaled it down to be appropriate for iphone, but its still a breathtaking 4x4 iphone screens in size.

 

Here is another gameplay element that Dragon Island has.
Each monster can be destroyed to create a soulstone. A soulstone can be inserted into any other monster and acts as that monsters equipment.

Your hero character has its own equipment in the form of gems that provide bonuses to the monsters he takes into battle with him. Combine soulstones from stronger monsters with your hero equipment to really get the most out of your monsters!

Your hero also levels up through a different mechanic then monsters. This will be explained in a future post. Hero levels let you get new gem types, and allow you to bringe more monsters into battle as reinforcements to replace the dead ones. So being higher level will really increase your staying power and let you get farther into dungeons before having to run back to town.
