Yeah Rainbow took me months to get, but there were far fewer possible combos back then. Silver is like that now- time consuming and frustrating, for me at least. Welcome back GP! Opal is in the market Good luck breeding friends! Dark Blue/Black dragon with creme colored belly, blue spots, and small opals on it's head and tail. Description mentions combination of all colors. Hopefully with black coloring it will be possible fail for Bone or other Halloween dragon. Dragons with dark/black color/highlights Mine, Forge, Scoria, Scorch, Poison, Lava. Hopefully not a combination with the Crystal fail but if with Metal there will be other possible long fails. Trying a couple shots in the dark, Poison/Mud and Lava/Mud (to start trying Water hybrids). Think Fire and Ground will be needed elements with Plant or Water.
I have been unable to get either the Gold or Silver dragon, despite numerous attempts (at least brass/fire is a short fail)! Ah well, at least I can work on Opal for awhile. Cute dragon. I'll be checking the sandbox all day to find the right combo!

I've been following it on the Wikia. This one seems to be taking longer to figure out than the previous Gem Dragons. Whatever the combo is, I'm going to cry if it produces Crystal fails.
Someone pointed out ..lif you look closely at the Opal's eys...you see a lighting bolt. I think we have to mix a lighting in the mix...ugh, betting there will be crystal fails.
This is all strange they never showed the dragon until they released it no combos yet and still not showing the opal dragon on facebook just strange
Mud/Lava is reported to get Opal by several people on the wiki. There was also a youtube video showing someone getting Opal with this combo. I'm going to try it right now.
It looks like everyone is settling in on Lava/Mud as the combo. That means the fails would only be Mud or Lava (6 or 10 hrs). I could live with that.
