Not old enough to really have played any Duke Nukem, but seeing as all the people hyped for Duke Nukem Forever, heck, get this now that it's free!

You'll either get used to the controls or youll have to customize them. I can play through it just fine.

I bought this game when it first came out- but I don't play it because how broken the controls are. I wouldn't even recommend downloading it for free because it is a waste of space in it's current form.

And it seems like they never plan on updating the controls either.

Yes, the controls are the WORST by far!!!

If they ever fixed them this would be killer.

But as it is now it´s a piece of junk.

I doubt they'll ever fix them, but with every game you gotta get use to the controls.

Turning off "Turn, don't strafe" in the Controls Analog (more...) section kind of helps.

If you leave autoaim you just gotta get your screen on the enemy and fire, no need for crosshairs.

I d/l it today since it was free, tried 2min of it & instantly hated the controls. So convoluted :( I'll keep it on here anyway in case they ever patch it

Controls are good you just need to change the analog controls.

Myself I don't like Doom Classic controls, but if you like them there's options to get something close:
    • On start menu touch on "Controls"
    • Then check "Controls Analog"
    • In same screen touch on "Controls Analog" you get more options.
    • Uncheck "Turn, don't Strafe
    • Uncheck "Disable Strafe"
You won't get a moving joystick as in Doom but a moving pad, but not sure this is that bad.

For me there's no really good controls for first person shooters on touch device, but those like in some Gameloft fps or like in Battle Bears-1 are hugely better.

Thx for the advice, pretty much better now. Had to decrease Up/Down Look Speed also, but now it's much enjoyable than before :D
    Thx again
