Gameloft's Facebook page is talking about "free gems", or something similar to that. They're getting that impression, and I can't say I blame them. On the other hand, Zombiewood was a freemium Gameloft title that was not only visually interesting and fun, but also very fair in how you went about buying stuff. You could make $0 go a long ways toward enjoying the game. Maybe we'll see something similar to Asphalt, in that it'll be $1 to start, and the rest of the game will be accessible to people, whether you pay or not. Hell, HOC was absolutely fantastic, being not only a fairly-designed, balanced MOBA (from what I played), but a consistently supported title that constantly handed out revive tokens with such frequency that I couldn't actually keep up with them. I had more than I was using by the time I quit.
Thank you. It's refreshing to see Gameloft has some fair IAP practices in their freemium titles, I totally avoided Dungeon Hunter 3 and other Gameloft freemium titles but maybe Dungeon Hunter 4 will change that especially if currency is fair.
Hopefully as the year goes on we will see more and more freemium titles looking closely at balance, fairness and transparency. It effects the users enjoyment which in turn can hurt the brands image. One of the contributing factors in John Riccitiello's resignation from EA I'm sure. Any rough ETA on this bad boy?
Based on previous marketing campaigns I'm gonna go ahead and say that "something" means a countdown to either a trailer or a release. Hopefully well get a teaser trailer too. Clearly it won't be releasing tomorrow though
Same here. I hope its not like Gun Bros where you have to clear out level after level before moving on. As you say is it arena based, or story driven ? Video looks good, graphics look good but i'm not too bothered by that, i would rather have a DH1/DH2 type game with poor graphics rather than an arena based freemium effort with stunning graphics. I'm surprised Gameloft havent simply gone into more detail about what game and tell all of us what style it is. I know theyve done an interview with another iOS website but they havent gone with that story yet (Presume Gameloft have told them when to run it) BUT at the end of the day i'm so happy a new Dungeon Hunter game is nearly out, just hope i'm not disappointed like i was with the last one. Fingers crossed!
Judging by the fact that little info has been released by actual gameplay, I'm not optimistic. But I really, really hope I'm wrong.

I don't think the graphics are that good at all really, It seems some parts of it don't have real time shadows and other parts do, and parts that should be dark aren't like under that tent towards the end in the snowy region...
