Well.. this is it.. Dungeon Plunder will be released March 6! Get ready for some exciting gameplay.. very soon!
Congratulations on the approval! I can confirm Dungeon Plunder looks great on 5G. Looking forward to the official release!
Maybe you could post a screenshot of the game running on iPad retina, unless you have a free trial version I could check out before buying. It looks like my kind of game but I'm a little bit hesitant. Thanks for answering my question tho, looking forward to probably buying it.
No free demo/lite version. Took the iPad off the kids hands for a minute: here's a screenshot of the game running on an iPad 3. (Note for readers: it does look a bit blurry if viewed on a PC/Mac - looks much better on an actual retina iPad). Hope that satisfies your pixels needs
I viewed that on my ipad and it looks pretty detailed. Sharp text. I'll probably buy your game, thanks for posting the pic for me.
Release is 2 days away! Starting to get some mentions on the net: Pocket Tactics: http://pockettactics.com/2013/03/04/slots-sworcery-ios-roguelike-dungeon-plunder-launches-this-week/ Pocket Gamer.fr (french): http://www.pocketgamer.fr/news/6482-dungeon-plunder-un-nouveau-rpg-sur-ios.html Guess we'll celebrate the launch with a family poutine dinner tonight
Nice! So is the game being released on the 6th (meaning it'll be available on Tuesday at around 11 pm EST) or the 7th (available Wednesday @ 11)? Either way, I'm excited.
Yes the game is saved fairly often: mid-fight, everytime you defeat an opponent, when you complete a quest, etc. So if you decide to load up an heavy app between playing sessions or reset your device you won't lose your progress.
That is awesome. I know this goes against the concept of a roguelike but is it possible to reload a checkpoint if you die or do you have to start from the beginning?
Here's how it works: When you die you're .. well dead Your character is deleted. But you'll leave something for your next character: Gold, some of your old magic items, etc. the further you made it before dying the bigger the stash will be for him. There's also a twist: If you died at a high level you'll also unlock a higher starting level for that class. So it's not back to killing rats all over again everytime - you'll inch closer and closer to the end goal every game. You can also refuse to start at the higher level if you want to trigger special more "hardcore" achievements and qualify for the level 1 start leaderboard. That's up to you. Hope that answers your question.
Yeah, that tells me a lot. So there is a final goal in the game? I like a lot of the aspects of a roguelike but I'm also a progress/goal-oriented gamer so I appreciate that there is some progress that's retained when you die.
Dungeon Plunder is awesome; as a beta tester I have been playing the final build for some days now and can confirm the game play is a lot of fun, graphics are brilliant, and save system smooth. You will not be disappointed by Dungeon Plunder.
