Ha! The vid put me in the mind of an old school Namco game, just the graphics & music that's a good thing IMO. This will be an insta-buy for me as I played countless hours swinging, bouncing and sheerly dominating Rasta Monkey. Best of luck and continued success Nitako, regards Richard
Thanks for clarification. If I were You, I would leave it as it is: EcoPunk is great game to control with Your finger, risk of remaking it in flash and publishing worldwide for free is too high to me - just like You've mentioned. It is my opinion only, though.
Enh, I think this could be a fun viable way to demo the game but... 1) Make it a demo so either only show a single mode locked on Easy or if sampling a few game modes make sure they cut off after a couple of levels. 2) If you REALLY wanted to include the full online, at least make sure it doesn't track your score so that if a player wants their best score recorded or, better yet, to see how they stack up online, they'll need to buy the full game.
Thanks for the advice! We decided to make a PC version with only the classic mode and a included, we are using the Unity engine its not a lot of work. but integrating new leaderboards is still something we have to do... We are considering to either release it on Kongregate or on facebook with your friends scores, we are not sure which one we should support first. Do you play games on facebook other than farmville and bejeweled ?
We uploaded the web player version to GameJolt! Eco Punk on GameJolt we’ll be integrating highscores on facebook and Kongregate soon... *FIXED : it mighty still be a little buggy (only on the web player) but we are working on it **EDIT : So the version is back up! play it and tell me what you think!
Yowza! Thanks for the flash demo as the game plays even cooler than it already looked in that video you showed! It is super amazingly smoothly animated and just gosh darned fun (gave you a 5 star there). My only whine so far would be that there is absolutely NO WARNING I could see as to when I'm coming out of "Shielded Mode", I'd think a nice courtesy blink or two before it goes out would be nice (probably should do the same when in "Armed Mode" although in that case it isn't as crucial).
I haven't yet played the online version but the iPhone version does have a WARNING when the Shield Mode is about to end. There is a siren running with the screen flashing red.
Thanks LordGek! There is a blinking light and a siren on the PC version as well but with all the things going on at once its still easy to miss. our brains filters out loads of stuff.... anyway the version is back up! bug fixed! Eco Punk on GameJolt
You're right, it's there, not sure how I initially missed it, my bad. I must have been so focused on cleaning up the city I couldn't see the warning signs.
i love the game! it takes a while to get used to but once you get the hang of it, it rules! i'm not that great though... my highscore at the moment is 901
