Umm... did you read the article? I'm sure Langdell hasn't relinquished his rights to the 'Edge' trademark: he has simply resigned from the IGDA.

It didn't occur to me but the title is misleading, now that you mention it. Perhaps a moderator should change it to something more appropriate: something like; "Edge is still out in some countries and not in others and there is no indication that will change any time soon." IDK.
No, nothing has changed in the Edge dispute itself. This is only news that Langdell has resigned form the IGDA so that the negative publicity he's getting (and will continue to get) over his douchenozzlery in the Edge saga doesn't reflect poorly on the IGDA by association. Tim's still a world class dickwicket.
grrrrr. someone kill this thread. I want edge and have been waiting for a resolution. Thanks to this thread being bumped, I got false hope.. bastards.. -
maybe there's hope after all.... I've been following Mobigame on Twitter, and this exchange sounds pretty exciting... Raurik: @Mobigame if Goliath has fallen, does that mean David can release Edge again? Mobigame: @Raurik maybe this Friday yes... maybe... the question from Raurik was posted Saturday, and Mobigame's reply was earlier today (9/21).
