    It's not price it's the space as only have 300 MBs free space!
    It will be only in my backlog! That's why I'm hesitant!

    I'm sorry, is this not a place for writen discourse on said topic? Who said I haven't already sent a polite and well articulated request to the developer? There was such a passionate and well thought-out exchange of ideas occurring, just in the wrong thread, I would hate for such intellectual jousting to go by the way-side

    Sorry for the misunderstanding. If you love Shooting games, this is an instabuy.
    If you dislike shooting games (like me), you should still buy it. It is only one of a few shooting games I really enjoy playing. Hope that helps :)

    Mate, the wiki-link you've posted isn't a general right.

    Price adjustments only happen occassionally by specific companies.
    When you buy a bread in your bakery or a barrel of beer in a supermarket and the next day they put the bread or beer on sale, would you go to that shop and claim to have the price difference of 1-3 dollars back?

    This was discussed a few times on tA and there are a lot of old threads about this topic.

    Generally, it doesn't make sense to discuss or argue about it. The developers are free to raise or drop the price of their product/s as they like. Even Apple has no influence on that. You won't see price adjustments here. And that's perfectly o.k. - 'cause if you're willing to buy a product at a certain price, you already measured the value-for-money ratio and stated your agreement to that ratio with the purchase. It was worth it to you in that moment when you've pressed the purchase button.

    That's how the Appstore works. Sometimes you get apps for free, sometimes you pay 1-3 bucks just before a sale. You win some, you lose some. That's life. Sooner or later, things equate. In the last 4 years, devs gave out hundreds, if not thousands of games for free on the Appstore, games that are normally supposed to be products you pay for.

    Never forget that mobile gaming is one of the only things where you literally get drowned in freebies. I haven't seen that anywhere else. Not at my bakery, not at a gas station. Normally, you pay for nearly everything. And instead of mourning over the loss of 2 bucks, I'd use the time to play more games.

    So, if you want it the easy way: chin up, smile, go on.

    I feel like a bit of a jerk buying this at $2.99 when it was $5.99 not even a week ago... on the launch date.

    Regardless of the price or whatever personally I feel its a bit of a shitty move by the devs calling it a launch sale when it's well after the time when everyone bought it at launch.
    I can understand from a business point of view though as you obviously want the most money possible so having a higher price at launch means the people who want it right now will pay a little more, then when the sales drop after a few days of the early adopters grabbing it you drop the price a little to entice more customers to buy it, then repeat.
    Perfect sense as a business model,

Personally, I'd have a lot more time for the "developers' side" in cases like these if they'd just call it a "We Really Need The Cash, Can't Afford To Have Morals" sale. Or at least just said nothing, instead of adding insult to injury to anyone with a modicum of intelligence. Also, no sale in the world is ever to "celebrate" something. Ever.

    On topic: i like the original Epoch, so i gonna grab this, too

    We all (most probably) took advantage of freebies or price-drops at some time, that´s the App-Store. For me personally it kinda evens out enough to not be disgruntled about price-drops.
    If you buy it before it drops, it is most definitely worth it for you.

    It's fine if people are angry. I'm not trying to belittle anyone or discount their feelings, but this post really sums it up quite eloquently, and without being unnecessarily condescending or deriding.

    Well, if I would count all the freebies / promo codes I've got so far and count all that money I saved on holiday sales and then sum up the money I saved, I guess I could easily buy every product I want on release day, even if I miss dozens of after-a-week-launch-sales and would still be fine.
    Appstore games are already cheap enough. Look at that Oceanhorn. A team developed it for over a year and it's just 7 or 8 bucks for 20-30 hours of playtime? That's just ridiculous.
    I pay 10 bucks for a movie at a cinema... for 1.5 - 2.5 hours of entertainment... and not 30 hours.
    I tend to call cheap what others call a "premium" price.




    Just wait for Christmas with all the big releases and the fight for the top spots in the Appstore charts.
    That's the worst time.


    In the end: the Appstore doesn't exist since yesterday. People should know the behaviour of prices by now and that everything is (predictable) unpredictable.
    The faster you get used to this unpredictable pricing behaviour, the better for you. No one can change the Appstore rules, except Apple itself. Sure, it's hard to get used to it at first, but once you've got it, missing a price drop or a freebie is of no importance anymore.
    But I pay respect to everyone who's buying games at launch and gives - in this particular way - maximum support to the developers.

    I suspect $2.99 could have been it's original price. I think starting at $5.99 then dropping to $2.99 is a tactic. One that gets people to buy it at what the developers really value it at in the IOS market. But the drop gives the appearance of a deal. More profitable for them to do this than start at 2.99 then drop to 99 perhaps. I just purchased it at $2.99 even tough I barely even played the original.

    I'll admit to taking advantage of the sale. I immediately had put this on my wish list last week due to both space and already having been spending well beyond what I feel comfortable with lately on iOS games.

    I've been on the other side of the fence many, many times, however. As others have alluded to, the App Store really is a unique business environment with so much competiton, frequent price changes and even freebies. I get frustrated as much as anyone else. But it's gotten to the point where I've almost gotten numb to it. It happens so often that you have to accept that every purchase is a "risk" in terms of how good of a deal you got. Really, no matter the price, games on iOS are deals...period.

    As Vovin said, you win some and you lose some. It's just the nature of the beast. That's why I don't feel bad for taking advantage if sales or freebies, just as the extra few bucks I may have lost on another app is becoming a moot point these days. It generally works out in the end.
