Beta Testers Needed That is correct. The time has come for a few strong hearted souls to bear the brunt of the Queen's forces ... or at least try to break the game. If you like dual stick shooters, the sci-fi genre, or have little better to do that you probably qualify to be a beta tester. Send me an email with your UUID and I'll add you to the tester list and cut you a beta build: etolis [at] facetstudios.com
I just uploaded a gameplay video for Etolis. It's still processing though, so pardon the poor quality. (I asked for the dev's permission via email, but if I misunderstood his reply, I'd be more than happy to remove this.)
Bam—Retina Display support added! Retina Display support added and its looking not to shabby to my skewed eyes and still runs pretty smooth. I also doubled the texture quality across the board for 3GS and iPhone 4 devices. Check out some quick screenshots. It will all come soon ...
Absolutely stunning. I can't wait to replace my current device with an iPhone 4/iPod Touch 4G sometime later this year.
Beta Beta Beta The game is moving along at a nice clip. Things added/changed in the past week: - Retina Display support (I now a believer in the Retina) - Doubled texture quality for 3GS and new models - Added the ability to Sprint for a period of time (ability is available regardless of power ability) - Added Game Center integration - Added option to cycle through maps every 5 rounds as you play - Added auto aiming controls as default—feels a bit more Minigore esc now. - Added Hammers as a new game type - Fixed a bunch of bugs and a ton of other small noodlings occurred.
indeed it does, did you happen to notice the stale animations the enemies have when rotating and moving? It seems as though they are only 1-3 frames and are not smooth at all. Looks like they are glitchy.
I guess you see it when there are many of them. If so, it is something I told the dev ... otherwise, tell him. He is very responsive in improving he game honestly.
Im on a 4th gen ipod, so framerate is not an issue. The amount on enemies has nothing to do with the animations. It seems as though there are only 2 frames to each enemy animation. Hopefully they make the animations much much smoother (15-30 frames). I have emailed the dev an am waiting for a response.
Well I am on iPad ... Thus I should have similar things. I am sure the dev will do his best to fix it.
Smoothed out the rotation and lots o' optimization The jerky rotation was more of an oversight than anything. Its moving nice and smooth now. I also found some code that was draining on performance and now its running quite a bit faster. Darn radar scripts!
