Anime Studio? That's for animation, not concept art, or any art for that matter. The program is basically useless without something made in GIMP, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. You shouldn't even be animating 'til you have all the code done. What exactly is your development plan in a nutshell, Slappo?
I know, I know! I'm trying to convince my parents to get me Photoshop. Do you know a version cheaper than $1399? That's all my Apple and Best Buy sells.
GIMP (free) and Photoshop Elements (just has less features, but it'll work). Get a Bamboo Wacom Tablet. Along with the incredibly nifty tool, it comes bundles with three other programs including Elements. It's cheaper than buying every single item separately.
Now I know your serious about this, because your actually going out to get the products... surprised you dont have a wacom tablet though, oh well their pretty cheap for a decent one, mine was about $120 I believe.

I beat him in a one on one... you could also look me up on youtube... although most of those gaming videos are old, and I have gotten way better at UT3... I used to be no 37 on UT3, and used to play with Cooldave, and helscream, namzar... phantasy... alot of the best people...
Hey Guys. This has really been bugging me so I'll get it off my chest. I just switched to new school, and boy. Let me tell ya'. They pile on the homework. So with this being I can't work on it as much or even at all. I've been getting very sick a lot lately and I think it's time for me to unwind and take a break. My immune system can't take this anymore. Being flooded with homework and projects, and then having to do an app. I just can't do it. But. I'm not dropping it. I'm asking for a Bamboo Wacom Tablet this Christmas (Because my parents won't get it for me now and I begged too, but no-dice.) And after that I'll get back on it.
