Final Fantasy III by Square Enix

Probably...I dislike the DS version though.
But the PSP version of FF4/FF4:TAY comes out in around a month or two, and since FF1 and FF2 on iOS are just the PSP versions with a new UI, it's hopeful!

 

Don't know why this thread is getting all the "Chrono trigger/ffta/ff6/free roam/blah" thing.

FF3j is a classic, with a great job class system. I'm looking forward to it as I thoroughly enjoyed playing the NES version many many years back.

Now pardon me as I go dig out my FF3J NES OST CD for some nostalgia and a trip back to the past.

FF I & II were priced at 8.99$ first, but this is the DS version and they enhanced the graphics.
Guess they'll take the same money for it as they did with Chaos Rings.

Just for comparison:
Final Fantasy III for the DS is $15 new and $10 used at GameStop. Putting the iOS version in the middle ($13) would not be a bad idea. They really can't charge the full $15, though, because of how squeamish iOS gamers are of spending more than $1 anyway.

 

Regarding price point speculation... if you've played Secret of Mana you might notice those graphics look much sharper than on SNES (iOS is richer plus widescreen) and they totally redid the interface for iOS netting a $8.99 price tag. Likewise with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and that retails for $6.99 on iPhone/iPod and $9.99 for iPad (obviously Lara Croft got a lot of iOS specific graphic work). I'm guessing Square Enix will stick to around $8.99 for game ports on iPhone/iPod.

Also, I understood (perhaps incorrectly) there was an expected $8.99 price for Final Fantasy Tactics...

I am glad it seems these ports are paying off for Square Enix; everyone please keeping purchasing to justify the development of a FFVI port.

Edit: Plus regarding the price there's no printed materials, catridges, retailer markup, and/or physical distribution costs so logic follows it be cheaper than the DS Gamespot price ($10-15).

need to put more money for developer on iOS gaming!!

i think/hope the game will come out next week, on the first week of march.. Judging by those videos the game looks done so they probably are going to submit it and wait until it gets accepted by apple.. I bet itll be 12.99$

All these Final Fantasy games are good but I what I REALLY REALLY REALLY want is the Front Mission games please Square Enix

FF3 is one of those game I look most foward to in march.. More than Crysis 2 for consoles T_T

Only when it has come out in New Zealand. If it is not in New Zealand then it won't show in the search bar. That's usually the case for me. I have New Zealand account lol. So if someone wouldn't have already done so, I'll notify you guys and post a video on YouTube of some gameplay
