Is it optimised for iphone 5? I thought that all updates to apps if they werent already optimised, had to include it? Or was that for new apps?
Ahh just read the description.. this has gotta be the best update of the year! Aside from the non widescreen stuff. But still.. this is major. It's installing now and I can't wait to see the art improvements I'm excited!
Hmm, just started a new play though on my ipad at 2x... Chanting units like pretty bad, like their face is glitching Bug appeared in the first mission of the game and the menus and their text is now clear, making the game unplayable. Btw, I have retinapad installed so the screen should be sharper than it would normally be on an iPad.
Hmm can someone else who has already updated testify to the above? I'm going to hold off on updating until I'm sure that I'm not trading greater visuals for an unplayable game.
Afaik, Apple gave the devs a set time period to update their apps with widescreen support. I believe that after this period had ended devs could no longer give their apps widescreen support. It's mandatory for all new apps now.
I installed it on my ipad 4 running the latest ios and it seems to work fine, I havent updated the game on my ipad 2 which is still on ios 5 so i dont know how would work there. Edit: i forgot to mention that I have the ipad version not the iphone one.
Hmm thanks. Does anyone have experience with the update on an iPhone 5? iOS 6.x? I honestly must be one of the few people that enjoy playing this on an iPhone more than an iPad.
They optimized it a lot since the PSP version, no more loading times like those. The only issues here are a few framerate lags for some spells, but they don't annoy that much.
Speaking for the iPad version..I love the updates!!Specially the UI changes..It's much more touch friendly now..In my opinion,it just became a full baked port..
I've never played FF and am very tempted to get it with the sale on. How does the game play work? Is it like Kingturn?
I have never played king turn before but since its a srpg I would speculate some similarities to the game play...I would also like to say that for me this IS ONE OF THE BEST SRPG of all-time..If not the best..What's magical about it is the storyline which is Magnificent... So my advice to you since its on a sale and the changes they made are awesome..Get this now..
