omg.. i got so excited and then you tell me they specifically have no news for iOS!? This is so weird.. I don't even understand why they'd release Android first. I thought they make the most money on mobile from Apple? And didn't iOS usually get the releases first? Maybe this is payback for Android always getting stuff late. Bummer.
Wishful thinking tells me Final Fantasy VI will probably just show up on App Store tomorrow anyway. ...That or they decided not to play games with Apple's "review process" (like Apple doesn't flood their marketplace with filth anyway) and just release as is approved (immediately on Google Play).

Well After Years showed up on a Monday so I think they just let Apple release their games as are approved.
I like how the enemies look like cleaner, better drawn versions of FF6........ But the character sprites look like the gigantic head versions from FFV and FFD.

Hopefully it will get a release date for tomorrow. But I fear there was probably an time exclusive deal signed here soo we might not see it for a while now if Square is not keen on giving out release information. Unless one of our New Zealand friends has seen it pop up on there store yet? If not I would not expect to see it for a while. Edit: Just got off the New Zealand app store and could not find anything on Final Fantasy VI. My guess is sometime down the road we will get it. Its just a shame we have to wait longer. Plus I hear at least on the Android you need 500mb. When the original game took up maybe 1-2mb.
If I recall correctly Square Enix has had simultaneous worldwide launches before without bothering to release in different time zones staggering. Here's to hoping...
I'm guessing it will show up tomorrow. It's pretty strange that Google Play would get a Square game before iOS. I don't think there's a store refresh for Google, like every Thursday for the App Store. I could be wrong though.
You should probably stop while you are ahead. The New Zealand App Store has already been updated and has been for a while now. We will not be seeing a release version of this game tomorrow. Maybe next week but at this point in time no one except SE really knows.
SE never usually releases on a Thursday though. They like their releases to be a Big Bang, by themselves
