I thought there was so much uproar about the redone soundtrack that released with the latest Steam version that Square-Enix put the original PSX soundtrack back in. I thought I read that somewhere. Maybe I'm wrong?
They redone the tracks basically in the re-release version. So it just don't sound as good as what they originally are. Original as in the first PC release with those midi tracks and the psx soundtrack. As what @curtisrshideler mentioned, there was a huge uproar back than over it during its release. No idea I don't have that newest version. Haven't heard about square putting back the psx tracks. Good if they really did I have no idea about if.
Beyond stoked I check the App Store and Google the info every day. I am a huge FF7 fanatic. I have the meteor tattooed on my chest. No regrets! Seriously though, I stopped playing it on my Vita so I can have a fresh full run through on my phone. Kind of a lame excuse, but I want it on my daily driver.
I noticed that Square Enix put a few of their games on sale this morning....it would be nice if this was to celebrate the release of FF7 as I know developers will sometimes do things along these lines. I know it is probably just wishful thinking; however, one can only hope right?
was that the case before ? i mean a sale to celebrate a release ? that would be awesome. btw i watched the announcement of e3 again .. he said release "late summer" *sadface*
What constitutes "late summer"? In my mind, late summer can be anytime during the month of August. I never think of summer and the month of September as being even remotely connected....hopefully Square Enix feels the same way. #
I really had a good time reading your post. PS: I'm not very much like to have FF7 in my iPhone since I did the installation on my PSP Go before but didn't get over it again. Also, I'm waiting the console remake for years already... hope to see it comes out for real one day!
ok just to clear this out the 50st time.. ios release is this summer !!!! winter is ps4 and other systems !!!!
And Summer lasts until the 22nd of September this year, in case anyone is unsure... At least, here in the U.S. that is.

I'm gonna guess September 7th in order to coincide with the original NA release date. Hope it's sooner though!
How do you guys know that FFVII will be released this summer? I can't find any direct source where Square Enix mentions it.
