Couldn't disagree more. The style is that of classic first person WRPGs only prettier and the interface works well. To the OP - The Quest and Undercroft all the way. Both have generous Lites and if you upgrade you can transfer the save from the Lite. Both are incomparably longer than Doom RPG reportedly is and likely have much deeper gameplay, too.
