Universal Galaxy on Fire 2 HD - By Fishlabs

Since today patch 1.0.5 for Galaxy on Fire HD is ready to go and you can download the update via iTunes or the App Store.

Changes with patch 1.0.5:

• Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD now supports the Retina display on the new iPad
• Higher resolution textures: Four times higher resolution textures for a extremely detailed representation
• Refined Throttle control: Throttle gesture has been improved
• Crash-Bug resolved: Hangar Shop stability has been improved while browsing commodities
• Changed ship icons: Valkyrie icons are now available in High Definition
• Fixed Multitasking: Multitasking is now working as intended with iOS 5.1

Four times the texture resolution?
Is this only for the new iPad or also for the iPhone 4S / iPad 2?

 

Is the patch coming to the SD version of Galaxy on Fire 2 also?

 

It's sd for a reason. To run on older devices. Or that's what I'm led to believe. The eye candy is for the hd version.

 

Haha..I guess I should have been more clear.. Is the multitask bug fix, and any other bug/crash fixes coming to the SD version?

save games are now transferrable between sd and hd versions, correct? i have the sd version with all the DLC, and this news has convinced me to pick up the HD version, but I don't want to lose my progress.

 

It should work yes. Haven't personally tried.

 

Yes, I have the same question. My new iPad arrives tomorrow and I would like to pick up the HD version, but wondered if our game saves can be transferred from the SD version via OpenFeint?

When Valkyrie is it finished ?

The Alice's base is now stuck in the Void space. I have tried to save her, but it seems impossible. There are always new Voids ships that appears. Is it finished ?

 

Does the the higher resolution textures apply to the iPhone 4s also?

Finally, I have now all the gold medals. Too bad that they are not fully synchronized with the GameCenter (I have 85/92 achievement in GC. Is it possible to fix this ?).

What a wonderfull game. I'm now able to buy the VoidX ship . And I will be there for the next addon.

Do you know what will be the next story ? Saving Alice ?

 

Savegame transfer

Is there any possibility to tranfer a savegame of GoF2 HD from my iphone 4S to my iPad 3?

I Played alot recently and just dont want to start all over again...

 

The last slot in the savegame's screen is for iCloud. Save your game from your iPhone in this slot, and take it from this slot in your iPad.

 

Don't know, but I do not like this update on the iPad 3rd Gen; this morning on the 3rd Gen, without downloading this update it ran nice. Now the frame rate hiccups frequently. It's quite distracting and not at all pleasant. Real Racing 2 HD does this too, but only in the sexy car cam mode, not the actual gameplay.

 

I dunno about you but it seems to have slightly worse frame rates on the new iPad with the latest update vs iPad 2. Looks beautiful though but a bit more choppy than I remember.

 

I just bought Galaxy on Fire HD for the new iPad, and the performance is absolutely terrible. I've been used to playing the standard version on the original iPad and it runs nice and smoothly compared to this app. Pretty visuals are one thing, but not at the expense of playability. The frame-rate is so bad at times that it is is virtually unplayable.
