I really wish there was something like a shooter RPG. A good one, not just an FPS with hit points and people talking to you..
Sorry to go off topic here. There is a game called Huxley (PC and Xbox 360) that has been in works for years now, check it out here. http://www.huxleygame.com/
Zing. MC is an outstanding technical achievement, gorgeous graphics, good animation and the level of detail is stunning. However, it's story - if you could call it that - is terrible. It's not engaging, the characters are weak and some of the dialogue is simply atrocious. The story is what made MC feel like - for me - a cheap rip off of COD. Now you should know that I'm very picky when it comes to game plots and I'm sure the story's fine for most people. Another nit pick I have is level design. The same boring corridors over and over again. And it has very little replay value once you've finished the 3-4 hours 'campaign'. This reads like a rant but it isn't. Gameloft nailed the controls. Sniping is a dream. Some of the weapons are quite old, but they're fun to use. The AI, even though it's rigid, will melee, shoot, reload, throw grenades, throw grenades back, take cover and even advance on you when you're taking cover. The important thing is that MC is fun - while it lasts.
