From the sounds of things, it sort of reminds me of the old Spiderman game I beat a long time ago on my N64... that was a great game. I know it won't be THAT good, but if it's even similar, I think I'll enjoy it. That said, Gameloft needs to stop announcing new games and get on re-releasing Prince of Perisa.
Yeah it reminded me of that N64 game as well. That didn't have free roam either, but it was still a good game, I hope they at least make the campaign worthwhile and not release it for $9.99. Also, they might as well just call it Spider-Man instead of Ultimate Spider-Man, it doesn't look very ultimate, but I guess the iPhone can't handle cel-shading anyway.
It's hard to be excited about any upcoming game after playing Prince of Persia WW on my iphone. POP is just amazing but it's not for the casual gamers that makes up the majority of the itouch gaming populace that is why I wont be surprise if this outsells POP.
peter parker or spider-man looks like a toy or somethign like that... wow this is second game with approvoal of Marvel ,,,, i dont knwo what happens behind scenes but marvel gived 2 big trademarks iron man and now spider-man and what wins marvel???
Gameloft...OG TOFTT'ers I think some of you people have very high expectations..... of course I remember sending "80085" to my friends pager just to make it say "BOOBS" & finding that entertaining. That being said, I think Gameloft has done an amazing job in contributing to the evolution of gaming on the iPhone (& I stress phone). They were one of the only devs with the budget to test out some very conceptual ideas as far as "making it work" on this platform. When other companies wern't sure how their console titles would pan out on the platform....mainly for fear of people saying "it's not like the ps3 version" well why would it be?....but look how metal gear solid touch panned out.....very unexpected, but took it for what it's worth. Gameloft are the true masters of TOFTT for the iPhone... By not being afraid to try to bring us titles other devs were hesitant about bringing. They deffinatly showed that it could be done and have influenced other devs to bring their console title to this device. I'm still pissed about prince of Persia but I'll buy it, & all the other high action games they've brought. Don't care for thier sports games very much. But gameloft has been one of the first big devs with iPhone since it's launch, I think they deserve way more credit. Maybe some of you are having bad experiences with gameplay & technical issues because your running old shit. Get a 3G S, buy some games & have fun
man you did the perfect post! i know disney bought marvel in 2009 for over 4 billion $,and what help this ?
Nothing really, cause eventhough they won't put spider-man & micky mouse together...their still apt to do projects Stan Lee might have said no thanks too. Didn't mean to offend you it's just I think Gameloft is great. They have had bad releases but in the grand aspect they have helped shape iPhone gaming
Ok let's look at this way.... Iron Man 2 by Gameloft ORRRRRR Iron Man: Aerial Assault by ??? See, you'd much rather have Gameloft doing Apps.... At least their better at it than other developers.
I don't know about anyone else, but this game seems so linear. The way that you web suggests predetermined points with only one path to follow. I'm not getting my hopes up.
Hmm what can i say? Im kinda excited bit itll probably lack detail like gamelofts Iron Man 2. Plus i needa get a biggr er ipod or iphone, because i have like 4gb of gameloft games.
i'm one of those are tired of colorful Gameloft games but i don't it's bad for this game,Spiderman is a comic character anyway, this looks fun but i won't get excited until this gets at least an 8 on any review
