Yet another rip-off from Gameloft. What's franchise is next, Zelda or Super Mario?

HANG ON! Multiplayer!? What about MC:S? Does that mean that they are scraping the promised MP for MC:S and replacing it with this? Hmm

Give them credit for investing in the platform. Activision is more than welcome to bring COD to the iPhone. Or Guitar Hero. Gameloft is simply taking advantage of a great new market, and filling voids in genres not yet represented adequately on the App Store.

And when they do take a crack at something, more often than not the effort is more than competent. All of the other big developers and publishers are more than welcome to see the potential opportunity on this platform for their respective franchises...until then, I certainly can't fault Gameloft for stepping up and trying to meet this (obvious) demand on the App Store.

I'm still waiting for a Metroid 3 type game, a Command and Conquer (RTS, WITH Wi-Fi), Real L4D clone, etc.

Basically, just keep on chugging Gameloft.

Which brings us to the point that this game will probably be out in a week or so, given Gameloft's announce and release habit.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the AppStore right now... and if it isn't, it'll probably only take a day or so to release after it was submitted since it was shown at the conference.

Once again, Gameloft has never made "original" games. All of their games are un-"original". And I don't even give a damn if they're original, it makes no damn difference, just that the gameplay is good! Almost every game is a rip-off. There is no FPS game that is similar to another FPS game for example.

Check it for yourself. The lack of originality is old. Gameloft has always been that way.

Really? What has Ngomoco been bringing to the table lately? Where are all these innovative games moving the platform forward. Last time I checked Touchpet dogs is ripping off Nintendogs. Chillingo has published a bunch of games with the same concept but different skins (example idracula and Minigore) both are the same concept shoot and stay alive as long as possible. At least Gameloft is moving the platform forward with pushing the hardware in new directions with 3D. Even though the games are similar to console games out there. But you can say that about every game maker they borrow ideas from games already on the market.

To the other "Clone" Whiners on this thread:

The app store needs Gameloft, along with the other publishers.
Again I throw down the Gauntlet to Naysayers of Gameloft as a "clone company". You think you can do better and produce an original game? Do so, Apple affords the tools for free, you only have to pay $99 a year to publish. So either step up, and show your original games..or stop filling these Gameloft Game threads with CLone Complaints.

You don't want the clone, fine..dont buy it.
Let the rest of us that want the experience actually talk about the game.
