That hasn't been the case for me. The three daily quests you get are generous with how much gold they give.
I haven't had time to try dailies yet as I don't have a pc at the moment, hoping the quest that appeared yesterday for an expert deck is still there though...guessing that's a tutorial quest rather than daily though. Just playing a little when I can to get ready for iOS versions. Only unlocked Warrior and Shaman, I like the Mage deck but will definitely change instead of having that deck.
Just played my first 7 games in play mode, won 6 and lost 1 unlocked hunter, priest and warlock while I was at it and got my Mage to level 10 now. Really like the game and how it makes you think on building your deck and with each move, felt very happy when I won and deserved it because sadly I didn't get morons everyone was tough. Also didn't get angry when I lost as he deserved the win.
Hmmm. I usually have three active and when I complete one it gets replaced with another. I don't play a lot of games each day so maybe I am getting only one per day also.
Watching this footage makes me want the iPad version even more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKvJlfmv4n8
I was also on the Hearthstone forums lurking around and saw several posts where people could NOT win games. Are any of you guys that are already playing having this problem? Because I'm not, and I'm definitely not a super lucky person, whiz with card games, or ultra strategic. I'd say I'm 50/50 to 40/60 on wins/losses. And I haven't spent a cent on the game..
Well Trump is showing right now on Twitch that it is possible to win without spending any money f2p in rank mode he is rank 10 now or less and he won 12-1 in arena. So its all about skills knowing your deck and calculating your moves... P.S. This guy he made to rank 11 without any lengendary cards in Arena too.
I've got limited time on it until the iOS version I played 7 and won 6 of those. It's just like playing chess really if you think your moves through and plan ahead.
Even if you do, luck of the draw can still screw you over. Watched some guy everyone said was the best lose because he got the wrong cards.
Of course that's something you can't help, my loss was due to poor card draws but I built the deck so can't complain.
IGN has some iPad footage on their site, looks amazing and crisp! http://m.ign.com/videos/2014/03/21/hearthstone-ios-gameplay-off-screen
