Yeah... The concept of a girlie girlie pwincess rampaging through baddies with a big huge gigantic gargantuan greatsword is epic. "You bwoke mah lovely nails! GRAAAAAAARRRRGGHH!!!!"
This looks really good and it's universal and it's only $0.99! SOLD! Next week is going to be another really good week.
Thanks guys! @juls363 Too floaty? I had some testers who said it was a bit floaty (you didn't fall fast enough) and have since made the "gravity" have a bit more pull, those trailers/videos were taken before the change. I thought it was ok before, but have to say, the testers were spot on. after the change I liked the flow of the jump a whole lot more but if you mean something else just let me know Here is another piece of Promo art Monster Robot Studios - HEAVY sword by homeschooledmail, on Flickr
@ashtmj Hi, interested your game. Looks like a lot of fun. Any news on download size? I only have 2 gbs but I'm sure this game can't take up to much space. Also, can you give an estimate on number of levels and replay value? I know it's only 0.99 cents but I prefer games that I'll play for a while and replay levels. Stuff like hidden levels, high scores, fastest time, multiple paths. etc.? Finally...I've never played Mario (I know, I know, before my time) so I dont really have anything to compare to. Is your game more about exploration and combat or platforming? Is the platforming the difficult, perfect-timing type or more casual? I l prefer the former
@TheEvilRobot @AnarKitty @metalcasket Thanks for all the support guys @Bronxsta Thanks for the interest! I think size wise it'll be somewhere around 30-40MB Not sure of the exact size off hand, but below 50 Currently 20 levels, each growing in size and enemy count as you progress. Now while you can reach a final boss and "beat the game" I'm working on new levels for the next update, and new mini games. There are game center achievements to unlock as well as 3 princess coins hidden in each level. beating the game unlocks the princess, which I feel like adds to replay value cause it's real fun to run around with infinite HEAVY sword power chopping enemies! "Is your game more about exploration and combat or platforming? Is the platforming the difficult, perfect-timing type or more casual?" I tried to get solid mix combat/platforming/exploration, so I hope other players will feel that way. but I suppose we'll only know for certain what the masses think on April 11th you mean you have never played any Mario game?! or just the older ones? SIDE NOTE: at some point I'll be posting how to unlock the Cow Tipper GC achievement cause I don't think many will find how to unlock it
Thanks for your answer. 20 levels is a nice amount for a game like this. Probably going to be this but might wait for a few reviews/impressions first And no, I've never played any Mario games or any Nintendo games and classic games in general. I'm 20, so my first console was a PS1 and those other games and series were before my time. And IMO, I feel that the Nintendo's series cater towards younger ages and don't really interest me. (Uncharted, GTA, and third-person action games are my series/genres of choice

This looks really cool but after watching the videos on the first page the jumping looks very floaty? Almost like moon gravity or slo-mo. any testers comment on the jumping?
The developer commented that he tweaked the gravity effect of jumping and that those videos are slightly out of date.
