i notice when the pop up dialog appear, it might blocking the player view. how bout move it to top of the screen.
Looks promising. I do wish the name would be changed though. It sounds so generic without any personality. Makes me think this won't be coming with any sort of story as well. I also hope there'd be at least more than 1 class and lots and lots of skills and items. Hoping for unique classes like Necromancer (my fave from Diablo 2) and Druid. Anyway, looking forward to this game!
We definitely hear people on the name - we're reconsidering as we head towards release. It's a while to beta yet, but we'll keep people in the loop as we go.
Looks nice. If you need more beta testers I am ready If you use Testflight, I have it installed on my iPad.
I'm really looking forward to this game too, graphics looks amazing, gameplay seems polished... It'll be an instant buy (although I'd definitely change the name).
checking in on the updates for this game. This is to the developer: Battlehearts was surprisingly deep, except it left out story and 'levels'/exploration. COMPANIONS is deep, but tough to control and isn't the 'prettiest' game, so combat is a little awkward. Pocket RPG is just a pretty button masher, and Dungeon Hunter 2 is only slightly better. Where does Quick Quest fall in line with these games, because my hope is that it's a lot closer to Battlehearts meets COMPANIONS than the latter. EAGER to merrily GIVE my money to the dev that figures out this formula. Again, give COMPANIONS the BATTLEHEARTS gfx, skill tree, and control, and you've got a KILLER APP.
WOW...just wow.... Love the look of this! Any news? Looks like a heavy "Dark Alliance" influence...which brings tears of nostalgia and joy! ..good luck guys and if a beta is in mind for you guys please let us know!
Thanks for asking - we've been a bit distracted by other projects (that help provide the resources to make Quick Quest as good as we're hoping for). However, we're pretty much 100% on QQ from here on in, which means you should be seeing much more out of us in the next few months. Don't want to lock in a release date yet, as there's always some flexibility, but definitely 1st quarter this year.
So, we've changed the name to Heroes Call (thanks to some feedback here and elsewhere) but the game is still coming along well. If you're at GDC, come by our booth and say hi and we've give you a hands on demo - for everyone else, here's a quick look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4XhWdq85Xk&feature=youtu.be We're really excited by where the game has got to - there's still a lot of work to get to completion, but everything is in place. There's so much stuff we still haven't shown, can't wait to see what people think as we reveal more over the next few months.
The Plague Wizard is a ranged caster, and we're working on a third character at the moment. Freemium helps us to keep supporting post release with more quests, more characters, and more gear. The free experience is pretty great, though - that's one of our focuses.
