If u want really really long term, as in many months, get
Fastlane Street Racing(currently on sale for $2) or
    Real Soccer 2009($5)

By long term I assume you mean games that have something new all the time as well as have long term campaigns. Here are a few:

    1. Sim City - Still playing after months (Have to reach year 3000)
    2. Fastlane Street racing - (Gets very difficult - but still doable for a very)
    3. Orions - Legend of Wizards: Takes time to learn and lots of replay value one on one.
    4. Wolfenstein 3D: Lots of levels - you'll never finish it
    5. Frotz - can be extremely long term. But not everyone may like that sort of thing.

    Hope this is useful!

Is there any other game which is on same genre of warfare incorporated ...like build the troops and attack.

The graphics of warfare holds me off from buying it.

Well I have a different style of playing...I play for 10-15 min max and then I gotta switch over to something else. So I dont have a lot of "long term" games.

there is Strategic Attack, which is pretty much the only other real time strategy game on the app store.

7 Cities and Besiegement have taken up the most of my time. Both are well worth their prices.

Go for the Quest if you are considering an RPG, other games mentioned are all great too!

    Depends what you want.

Action: Hero of Sparta .99 for now. Fun hack and slash game.
RPG: Zenonia 5.99 3 classes and it takes about 20 hours to beat the game once.
Tower Defense: The Creeps .99 on sale 30 stages with achivements.
Simulation: Bike or Die 2 6.99 2000 downloadable levels but very hard. Try lite version first.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this so far, but iDracula is pretty fun. If you like Crimson Lands (and other games of the type), iDracula is a long lasting and pretty inexpensive game.

    Give it a shot!

Well, there are different ways to interpriate 'long term'. There are games that have alot of content, and there are games that have little content but heavy on the replayability factor. I'm more interested in the latter I have discovered. I just don't have the patience to get through something like Zenonia. I look for polished, quick-fix games for my iPod Touch, that have you coming back again and again. So, with that in mind, any of these would fall into that catagory:
    Rolando 2
    F.A.S.T
    RR
    Sally's Spa
    Pirate Bay
    Doom Resurrection
    Peggle
    Word Fu
    Doodle Jump
    Toki Tori
    2079
    Kryzer
    Camelot
    Eliss
    Harbor Master
    Centipede
    Star Defense
    Anomaly
    Hurdler

    to name a few:)

I tend to favor small, simple games without a lot of content but a ton of replayability. flight control, trism, frenzic, fieldrunners, superball, and ishoot can keep me occupied for a long time.

That's good to hear. I have tried to analyse what type of gamer I am. Casual? Hard Core? I certainly don't class myself as a hardcore gamer, otherwise I would be playing WoW the whole time. I do like to dip into games, but not feel like I am married to them as with something like an RPG. Having said that, I don't like my games to be overly simple either. I guess I am one of those rare 'medium core' gamers:eek:

I suppose I'm in the same class you are then. I've never played SC or WoW, ever. I imagine I'd suck at those pretty badly anyways. RPGs like Zenonia don't really appeal to me, I don't think I'd ever maintain enough interest in it to ever finish the game.

Yup! The great thing about this app store is that, with games being so cheap, I have had the luxury of experimenting with stuff I might not normally be interested in, Zenonia being one. I got through the first few maps, and then my interest dwindled fast. I must admit, I rarely finish my games, but at least with the ones I mentioned above, there is chance I will:).

Zenonia, great RPG with 40+ hours of gameplay

Reign of Swords or Reign of Swords II, RTS game, deep singleplayer experience, and multiplayer gives almost unlimited replayability.
