I hate using folders and won't use them anymore. Why? Because I put 5-6-7 games in the same folder and then I tend to forget they exist. Out of sight out of mind. So.. I started having a 'page' for each genre on my ipad, right now it goes:- Productivity (App Store, browser, twitter, Codea, iBooks, irc, etc etc) Rpg page 1 (RPGs > 1gb) Rpg page 2 (RPGs < 1gb) Board games (ticket to ride, phantom leader, waterdeep etc) Simulation (Transport Tycoon, Aliens vs Humans etc) Space Games (ascendancy, alien tribe 2, Starborn anarkist etc) Misc games (Junk Jack X, uplink, king cashing 2 etc etc) That's it. Not a SINGLE endless runner or Shi--uhh angry birds to be found
One page full of folders by Genre for me. It was two pages on my iPhone until iOS7 came along letting me put any number of apps on one folder. And then on the page after the games page I have an 'Untried' folder and a 'Games' folder for games that I've actually paid money for that I'm still actively playing (or want to still be actively playing). Ones those games get older I move them into hither genre folde.
As I only have my ipad for gaming I don't use folders. Put my favorite games on the home page and put any other games on the next couple of pages. Have about 50-60 games on there now.
I currently have mine sorted on my ipad by: RPGs, roguelike, strategy, action, puzzle, arcade, board/card, runner, sports, music, touch and paid games, a separate folder for games I've bought or purchased iap for.
I have a similar system to yours. Games are stored into folders by category. Makes it easier to look for games. Oh, and I have one additional folder for games that I don't let other people mess with. An example would be a game that I'm currently playing and I don't want others touching my save files.
