How to record my gameplay with best quality?

    The component one (AVERMEDIA C281 Game Capture HD) is not a card, but an external a box. The main feature is that you don't need to be connected to a PC to capture. Install a 2.5" HDD or USB memory stick and your can record anywhere(i.e toilet, bed, footpath). It does need mains power, so you are limited to how far your extension cord will go. The only thing the component is lacking is 1080p recording. It'll do 1080i but with iPad you can only get 720p. I thought that would be still decent enough quality.

    The problem was that Apple sells 4 different AV video cables, and 2 of them will mirror, but the other 2 don't and it is not really stated anywhere. So my assumption is the problem. I Should've researched more.

    But now I'm a little worried about HDCP if I go the HDMI route. I'm gunna get the Elgato Game Capture HD PVR, since I know TA are using it...
