Hi all, Absolutely, it's still on. We decided to spent some more time polishing up the game-play and we don't want to release it until it's ready. Therefore, we'll be submitting towards the end of February More details and screens later today!
As promised here's some details on the game... The first full 6 on 6 Ice Hockey simulation game on iPhone/iPod Touch. Take control using touchscreen d-pad and control buttons. Make line changes at the touch of a button. Sin-bin and powerplays Real player movement animation using motion capture. 14 National teams to choose from. Quick play, practice, tournament and league game modes. No waiting for the Zamboni in between periods. And, some screens....
It will be better if goalkeeper is little wider, cuz now it look like normal player ! But, yeah, hockey on ipod, yess
Agree about the netminder, He looks like he's only wearing half his kit. (my son who's 10 looks twice as big with his kit on). You'll be getting my money anyway!!!!!!!
distinctivegames the screens look awesome. i'd recommend a few minor suggestions like bulking up the goalie and simply make sure theres plenty of hitting oh and i'd love to see some videos in action, if possible. very much looking forward to this one
No zamboni is a dealbreaker(jk!). Will the players be editable, assuming they are not the real National team members? Looks very promising, cant wait!
Game on! I'm stoked about this game, but for the love of god and all that is holy, everyone stop calling it "ice hockey". Floor hockey is floor hockey, air hockey is air hockey, ice hockey is just HOCKEY. You're killing me here.
Not really. It depends on where you come from. Here in the UK, plain "Hockey" is considered to be "Floor Hockey". We use the term "Ice Hockey" to describe the hockey played on ice. The developers are from the UK, so hence the reason for the game being called "Ice Hockey Nations".
Thanks for the feedback - very useful - keep it coming. You'll notice that the logo in game is just 'Hockey Nations' as that is what we planned to call the game in the US. However, we've been prefixing it with Ice just to make sure people don't assume it's Field/Floor Hockey
You should add in Ice so it will be more universal, as stated above not all countries reffer to Ice Hockey as just Hockey (I live in Canada so my ears shoot up whenever I hear the word but still ). Looks like a really great game but you should make the goalie bigger, buy some pads and put them on or even look at a picture and try and make it like that, can't wait.
please if not when released, but for an update can you ad the ability for fighting, and i didnt see any penalty min, are those in there?, and the flashing red light/horn when someone scores?!?
Don't care for fighting, waste of coding, it's physics and awesome gameplay that are the most important for this kind of game - look forward to seeing a video of how it's shaping up
