Ok we thought this was quite a good way to explain the delays by looking at old youtube videos What it would have looked like if we had released on time. And what it now looks like - (change it to 720p!!!) Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Hot damn! That looks wicked! From the sway of the grass and shrubbery and the trees, to the falling leaves and the rain.
Looks darn good so far. Can't wait to play it. The only thing that irritates me is the flashlight. It doesn't "interact" with the environment like in Forgotten Memories where the light is morphing when it's moving, just like in real life. It's like the light is in front of your face instead of on the ground etc. But i'm not complaining cuz as i said, it looks awesome.
The video is over blooming the torch light so it appears to light up everything a bit too much including the fog. The last image I posted shows more what it looks like in game. The touch is based on a real light rather than most of the other horror games that just have a bright spot in the middle of the screen. Its generally been really hard to get good videos up as the game is dark and you tube over compresses anything remotely dark. I think thats why tato also prefers posting pics rather than videos.
This game looks awesome. So what you guys are saying is that it will be released most likely after the IOS7 update? Regardless, this is a great looking game. Keep up the good work guys. #
Indeed, Be careful when you post videos (specially on youtube). You better give a bunch of high-ress pics instead of a low quality compressed video. PS: Looking good btw, gotta have to play it when it get out.
its looking good TC, but i really want to see it directly from my iphone screen. can you tell me, is there a lot of different kind of ghost available or just a few of them?
There are ghosts in this game?!? Count me out, here I was thinking this was a revolutionary new gardening sim... unassuming groundskeeper versus the elements in a battle to prevent weeds from taking over. Scary stuff! Look at that gruesome overgrowth in some of those first post screenshots. I guess we might just have different definitions of "horror". I, for one, really hate lawn mowing. Now that you mention it I do see hints of something supernatural. Here I was thinking iOS was a safe format filled with cutesy plant based tower defense games, avian puzzlers, and saccharine match-3 stuff... it's not like anyone would want to play a potentially gripping first person open world exploration "mature" ghost game with seemingly plush retina environments that can be explored by vehicle or on foot, what is the meaning of this?
Hi all Well the game was approved by apple about a week ago but we had some changes that we needed to make and it was resubmitted for final approval a few days ago. Apple said we needed to raise the age requirement. The final version will run on an ipod touch 4G! During beta testing it seems that the game is a lot longer than we thought. It seems to take people between 4-6 hours to complete. Guess it depends on how much you look around and how long it takes you to solve a puzzle. In terms of release it depends when the approval is and what will be the best Thursday. It will eventually be released on android once the ios version is sorted.
