This is a fair point however most desktop sims out there require a beefy PC, a bunch of addons/plugins and a fair amount of time tweaking all of it to have a good experience. I believe a mobile sim still has a place for ppl who don't have a PC at home (or share one). Mobile devices are far more ubiquitous, especially outside of the US (or if one has a PC, it might not be powerful enough). FYI, Infinite Flight does have an API that is already being used by a few modders allowing to run companion apps side by side (airline management, more detailed flight stats, copilot, etc...). It is still in its infancy but a few apps are already available in the app stores.
Tried the app over the weekend. Remarkably detailed for a mobile sim and the scenery streaming is a great idea. The interface is complex but intuitive if used to flight sims. Everything worked as expected. The flap control is awkward to set though. A button for quick return to cockpit view would be helpful. Might have tried this sooner if I’d known it was possible to fly a Spitfire from Biggin Hill! Only complaint is the one month sub hasn’t allowed access to all aircraft as stated in the app description. They download but are not selectable.* *Edit: Returning a few hours later the additional aircraft are available.
