Actually, I remember this coming out a long time ago in china. But since chillingo owns the rights sort of everywhere else, we have to wait for them to publish it here

This is my most anticipated game on the iOS platform right now. It looks epic and besides hero of Sparta this should curb anyone's itch for a god of war game on the iOS. I hope they get it right and I hope chillingo does not turn this into a iap fest.
It's a lot better than I expected. The level design and combat is very repetitive at first but it expands later on. The game is beautiful by the way and I was surprised by the Chinese scroll artwork used as tutorials and to progress the surprisingly satisfactory story stretching 7 levels I think.
Hard to see much from the screens, but it screams GOW. Even the app's icon has a picture of what actually be Kratos scowling. I'm definitely buying the Ryu skin though.
Am I the only one really pumped for this. I'm surprised this thread is not taking off with replies. Maybe I'm missing something? Has anyone else played it yet. Also the the person that has how are the boss fights???
I think after Chillingo picked up the game there was a lot of excitement around it, but it's been on a holding pattern, with no new info, for quite a while -- hence the tepid reception now. Hopefully we'll hear more soon.
Hey, I know the game isn't out yet by I just have a question for those that have played the Chinese version. Are there different weapons like in The God of War or Devil May Cry series? I know the main character uses dual wield axes, but I was wondering if he ever acquires others, like swords and such, that add more variety to the combat system.
There's a bunch of costumes to unlock and the weapons will change their looks depending in the costume. The attacks can be upgraded with more combos and moves. There is some iap involved. The boss battles in my opinion, the ai follows a strict pattern of moves.
