Yes, that's next on the list, but there's quite a lot of artwork to do to bring it up to iPad size/quality, so it's probably a few weeks off yet.
For everyone requesting the notepad overlay feature in Astraware Sudoku - the update has now been submitted to Apple. The feature is added to both iPhone/iPod touch and iPad support, and as before it's a Universal binary and a free update to existing users!
Astraware Sudoku with the new notepad overlay feature is now live in the App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/astraware-sudoku/id293647966?mt=8. As always, it's a free update for existing users. Astraware Casino update to add support for iPad is likely to be resubmitted later this week.
Tried out the notepad overlay - works great for me. I am very curious as to controlling the iPod with the iPad though - Not sure what that is about, but it will be interesting to see.
It means you can select your music and make playlists from within the game. Saves you having to exit the game to choose your music. Several of our games have this feature, including OddBlob, Astraware Casino, Tradewinds 2, Astraware Solitaire etc. It uses Apple's iPod Library Integration API. Our CTO has made it look very nice though, as it pops a box over the screen and you can see album artwork too.
New universal binary of Astraware Casino with support for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch has just been submitted. Keep your fingers crossed for a quick approval. As always, this is a free update for existing owners of the game!
Hi, only two small things: 1. Thank you very much for the free iPad support! 2. Thank you for keeping the user informed! Kind Regards, Sascha
Just a quick update to say that Astraware Casino has been approved with support for iPad: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/astraware-casino-11-games/id323824368?mt=8 It's a free update if you already owned the iPhone version! Also, OddBlob has had an extra update so it now includes OpenFeint on iPad too! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/oddblob/id358727008?mt=8
I agree that the Solitaire is quite nice looking! And for $.99 USD, you can't beat it for the selection of solitaire variations and customization. Some of the instructions are a bit threadbare and don't really explain the games well. I have not played much of anything beyond Klondike before, so trying to pick up something like Freecell is a challenge when you dont get it based on the instructions. Just something to mull over. Otherwise, if the damned thing would let me win a game once in a while, I'd be happy as a clamp.
Thanks for the feedback on the instructions. I'll pass it on to our dev team to consider for a future update. With regard to winning - some games are harder than others, some more skill and some are pure luck of the draw. Have you tried adding the help features (highlighting/automove) and 'Easy' modes for each game? That should help a bit.
Hey Astraware, Any chance we would see either Funkyball Worlds HD and / or Glyph HD for the iPad anytime soon? They are my two favorites of yours and I would be very happy if this happens. Thanks a lot and keep up the amazing work!
I've replied to your PM on this. Thanks for the lovely feedback. The next iPad titles will probably be new games, and an update for Astraware Boardgames. The new titles are probably going to be July or early August releases. More details soon. As with our other releases, they'll be universal binaries.
